It's so fun watching these back, obviously Leffen went on to achieve much more as far as smash careers go but when people think about this set they don't give a damn about the result on the scoreboard, they just remember that sick combo and the mindgames that Wes did against one of the best foxes in the world.

Maybe I'm just bad at reading body language but that ending Leffen and Westballz looked to not be too mad at each other and more just a more friendly rivalry. Leffen seemed more "You got cocky and I beat ya badly" and West seemed to be kinda acknowledging it, and seeing as that West destroyed in winners, they proved themselves to be worth adversaries for each other and imo neither came out of this as having really trumped the other.

This will probably go down as my favourite set of all time. Watching this on stream, the Samus pick actually had me laughing out loud throughout the whole first game, and even though I was rooting for Westballz and he lost, he kept it relatively close.
Now all he has to do is legitimately train his Samus to get that 2-1 and his name would be famous until the very day the Smash scene comes to a close.

almost 6 years later... that second game contains the ONE play that probably no other melee player can execute. For real. If you really slow the video down and then watch it normally... it's just outstanding. No one dominates falco in Battlefield as westballz did. Maybe humanity will never ever watch something like this. All respects to the godslayer tho. This set is on melee-community's DNA.
