- I just love simple DIY and simple life hacks! Don’t you? That’s why I am creating these simple DIY earrings today 😊. I also think I'll make it a regular thing as you guys seem to like these videos on simple jewelry making! 😘 And I really enjoy coming up with new designs. They are honestly super easy to make! No kidding! It takes no time to make these DIY earrings 😀 Create your own DIY jewelry starting with a pair of easy diamond earrings! They take less than 5 minutes to make!

I actually own a fair bit of jewelry making tools, but I assume most of you guys don't have jewelry making stuff (as I guess not everyone wants to make jewelry all the time) and that's why I came up with an easy way of making these DIY earrings with no professional jewelry making tools. I am using a wire cutter, but you can swap it for any old wire cutting tool or even heavy duty scissors! See the list of materials I used for the DIY earrings.
DIY earrings - materials:
Gold plated copper wire (20 gauge non tarnish from Palmers Metals)
Gold plated copper wire (22 gauge non tarnish from Palmers Metals)-or just a pin to create the earring backs
2 Swarovski crystals (45mm - SWAROVSKI CHATON CLEAR CUT CRYSTAL FOILED POINTED BACK )
Hot glue gun(Stanley):
Glue sticks(Stanley)
Piece of clear tape, wire cutters, something round(to wrap your wire around to create the bezel) - I used a wooden cuticle stick, a piece of foam board or cardboard, baking paper, pin, brush handle-or the wooden stick(for setting the stone into the bezel), nail file.

These earrings are beautiful and simply elegant! 💕💕💕 I like the earring back hack. I saw another video where hot glue was spread out and then cut evenly into tiny squares which is functional and good if you're in a hurry to make lots of them but yours looked soooo much better! Never would have thought about hot glue for earring backs. So pretty and simple, but the look is classic and elegant. I'm sure you get this all the time, but you are beautiful! Somebody else commented on that and had to stipulate "not in a gay way." Not sure why one woman can't say that another woman is beautiful without a "not gay" disclaimer. Heterosexual women can think other women are beautiful:)
😄 I agree completely! I don't think there's anything wrong with that and I happily tell other women and sometimes even men if I feel there is something special about them. In my opinion, it's a bit like appreciating a piece of art mother nature has created 🌞 And just to state I really feel we are all beautiful inside and outside and we are also very unique and have different taste. What is beautiful for me, might not get so much appreciation from someone else etc. which is fair and it makes us special. Can you use any wire when making earrings; or are some types bad/toxic for your ears?
Hi Victoria, that depends if your skin is sensitive or if you're allergic to certain metals.. some people can't even wear gold or silver. There are of course alternative wires to use, but I use non tarnish gold or silver plated copper wires (they are enamelled craft wires) and they are fine on my skin - even earrings. But I'm not an expert, if you'd like to know more on this topic, please do a little research 👍🏻🌞

Hi Terry, I use Stanley dual melt glue sticks and they are fine against my skin 👍🏻

Have lots of fun making them I'm sure your granddaughters will love your work 🌸 Btw, the wires I use are enamelled -non tarnish- craft wires(silver or gold plated copper). They are absolutely fine with my skin, but check if the girls are ok with these metals first, some people have allergies to certain metals(I am sure you already know this, but just wanted to mention it 💖)

What is the thickness of the wire you use?
I'd love to make those earrings: they're so cute! I just read the material list and say 45 mm Swarovski crystals. This sounds awfully big compared to the finished earrings. Is it normal? Is there a typo and it should be 4.5 mm? Am I too confused for no reason? Thanks :)

Hi Marissa! 😃 I've never used niobium wire before. Good idea, I've heard it's good for people sensitive to other metals like silver etc. Anyway I hope you try to make them, they are really easy to make and comfortable to wear 👍🏻🤓
