In fact, the LG Gram 2017 is the lightest full laptop I've ever tested (Chromebooks and Yoga Books don't count) - and though it's a little on the flexy side, the durability that comes with that flexibility makes me a little more forgiving than I'd otherwise be. Yameng Zhang The Gram is fun to use for games, browsing editting that kind of thing but you'll always find that it's best feature is being pushed off tables and dropped onto the floor in front of your speachless friends !!

I have the 2018 version, one of my favorite laptops ever. Crazy how they fit a big battery, dual m.2 and upgradable RAM in a 2.1lb ultrabook, without breaking the bank.
I hadn't even heard about this laptop. That's very tempting.

M a g e n t a Lots of colleges give MacBooks. Other colleges give you discounts on the MacBooks. Also, just because they're carrying a MacBook, doesn't mean it's new. You can get a 2011 MacBook for less than $500, or maybe even less. The 2011 MacBooks are just great for students.

My wife has a model that looks almost identical to this, but 5 YEARS OLD, when LG used to sell it as the XNOTE. Great laptop. The display still looks amazing today. It has an i3 processor with a 120GB SSD. And we bought it for ~$800 in Korea.
It felt so bad when I heard this laptop fall over and over again but wow, that thing is durable.
Specs sheet has nice numbers on it, too. I'll totally consider it as a better option than a Chromebook.

I'm a poor college student and this looks like it could fit the bill quite nicely, if I actually had the funds for it xD Also a tip from tab-junkie to tab-junkie; I recommend using the Chrome extension The Great Suspender. It suspends any inactive tabs freeing up CPU and RAM usage!
