When Shang Thao won the election to become mayor, one of her assistants notified the mayor elect that her husband was selling jobs and political favors to campaign donors, Thao told her that if she was quiet about it that she would be rich. That assistant quit her job and notified the FBI.
And here we are today.

I think the former Chief of Staff Webb confided in the former Police Chief that Thao’s boyfriend Jones was playing the pay for play favors. That Thao knew what was going on but stayed quiet because of the cash that would be coming in. The old police chief had been on to Jones for quite sometime. Once Thao got elected Jones got her to fire him. Thao is such a corrupt piece of trash. I hope that not only does she get recalled but faces jail time as well.

An independent auditor recommended mayor Thao fire chief Armstrong for his mishandling of an investigation into police misconduct and he had an abysmal record on crime. The mayor has the right to appoint a competent police chief.
He was not innocent buy any stretch. He was covering up for his force, and they had broken the law several times. Probably a couple of federal felonies as well. He was a bad police chief and he needed to be replaced.
