Vampires have SO MANY fucking weaknesses LOL. I don’t know if those 2 have seen it, but James Rolfe once posted a “You Know What’s BS?!” episode where he rants all about every weakness vampires have for around 4 minutes. Highly recommend it to anyone who doesn’t know all of a vampire’s weaknesses and is curious.
Such a difference between zach and anne. One does not likes companions that much, and the other adores most of them. It’s really interesting seeing the stark difference.
crossbows were considered to be cruel because back in ye olden, it would take 3 generations to train and raise royal archers. but the crossbow could be thrown into the peasants hand and would invalidate the entire process of raising the archers. like the old saying says; "If you want to train a longbowman, start with his grandfather."
@@TheOnlyFMP Pretty much.. not to say any firearm from the 20th century is difficult to use, but the AK is definitely beginner friendly... I'd just rather the AKM or Krinkov than the 47. something in 5.45... Smaller projectile and the like.
@@tamaiofthesea iirc the Chinese were the first to invent firearms... on accident, mind you. some alchemist made black powder believing it to be a ticket for eternal life. He later blew up some how.
On This Episode of Mikeburnfire. -Lady Anne has returned... and is now trying to hunt Vampires. -Riften got attacked by a small mob of Zombies. -Mike Steals a Horse again not even 5 minutes. -Recruited Inigo. -Lucien and Ingio's Bromance begins. on a side note. mike if you want to actually make vampires a threat in game i highly recommend know your enemies redux as it gives all enemies some resistance to magic and certain weapon types. it also works well with Make silver useful which makes all undead and werewolves immune to normal weapons. as for creatures i recommend mihails vampire lords,Beasts,Skeleton. and Falmer. note that mihail's creatures are a bit unbalanced so take it with a grain salt.
Ahhh, so glad to see you guys picking up both Inigo and Lucien. They're such a great duo! Also Anne yelling "STAY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY" was fantastic, y'all've gotten so attached to these companions!
@@khartog01 exactly! We can't be having that, it's supposed to be the other way around! I'm only partially joking as it wasn't uncommon for nobility to be assigned higher value on their lives than lowly dirt covered peasants, even though the peasants aren't really that dirty and provide most of the nobles, well everything.
I swear, everytime I watch mike's videos of either fallout or skyrim, and suddenly I have the need to replay the games again! Makes me want to get a pc just for the mods man!
Man, I am SO GLAD to see Anne doing the Dawnguard DLC, since it does some things with the Falmer that will be more fun for her character than I think it would if Zach was playing this questline. Also I'm not sure if Mike is using the Serana Dialogue Addon mod. It sounds like the vanilla voice but it's been so long since I've played the game that I forget. I know there are some valid criticisms of the SDA mod, but I personally liked it, especially since it adds banter with Serana and other companions like Inigo, Lucien, and Auri (speaking of, I would really love to see Anne recruit Auri. She's such a great follower).
Lucien ans inigo are a onw of kind companions since unlike follower mods their creators actually put a lot of effort into them, not to mention they actually interact with other followers as well third i sofia which was supposed to get a patch for inigo. Unfortunately some people wanted to marry her in game in which the mod author hated
Good to see Anne back, and joining the Dawnguard no less. The Inigo and Lucien interactions are pretty great, I'd be curious to see how Zach reacts to them.
Fun fact about the “garlic weakness” in the book this originated from it was specifically garlic flowers not the bulbs as most media and people assume and portray it as!
Since this also takes place in the same universe as zachs play through... *DON'T TELL ANNE ZACH HELPED REPAIR WUUTHRAD* for those out of the know... Anne's people, the snow elves and nords lived in peace when nords made saarthal their capital in skyrim. One day, Anne's people found out that the eye of Magnus was found in saarthal... And they didn't trust the nords to have such a artifact. So. Anne's people snuck into saarthal at night and killed EVERYONE bar Ysgramor and his sons. Yeah. Anne's people betrayed the nords because they deemed themselves superior enough to have the eye. Ysgramor and his sons returned to the nord continent and gathered a army of companions. They came back to skyrim and with wuuthrad in hand... Wiped out the snow elves to near extinction. The snow elves fled to the dwarvs for sanctuary and protection. The dwarves took them in on the condition they consumed a fungus. This fungus turned them blind. The dwarves did some magic fuckery, and removed themselves from reality and left these blind snow elves behind in the ruins. They evolved into the Falmer. To put simply, Wuuthrad literally killed a lot of her people and is a symbol of her people's past. It would also hurt anne to use as its soaked in the blood of her ancestors and wounds her kind more. Basically. Anne's people did something bad and found out the hard way karma is a B. However I don't know Anne's opinion on that whole event as a snow elf herself. Does she agree with what her people did or is she opposed?
We all have our preferences when it comes to followers. I'm happy Zach and I were able to introduce people to Inigo for a bit, even if they didn't vibe well.
I love how Mikes channel feels kinda more like it's Zach and Anne's channel, Mike is just going on a trip, so whenever Mike is doing something alone it's almost like a little treat it's a different take but no complaints from me
All Falmer are Falmer but not all Falmer are Falmer. ...The entire three snow elves left in the world are Falmer, as Falmer means ice or snow elf. But they're not the blind goblin-like Falmer.
I know it’s a completely different style of game but I feel like you and Annie or maybe even you, annie and Zach would enjoy playing baldurs gate 3, lots of interactions between the npcs and the pc.
Im a vampire but my main method of off seting the debuffs is 62% magic regen on a helmet 31% stamina and health regen on a CHest peace. and fire and shock resist on my boots. Keep im a master enchanter so i get maximum effect. (Not counting any exploits) i also feed regulerly to minimize the debuff. and have a royal bloodline mod for the vampire lord. I also have konahriks acountments wich i can unlock at endgame. that by defult has 50% boost to all 3 Health magicka and stamina regen. and a 25%magic resistence boost aswell as 50% boost to all weapon damage. and 25% boost ot offenceive shouts. Without Forgeing the robe into armor wich i dont do cuzz i like how the robe looks. U cant get to max armor rateing without finding ring ammulet and gauntlets of pearless smithing and dragon aspect. The robes are classifyed as heavy armor so u do get the matching set and tower of strength bonus.
hm. while i enjoy the followers you both got there, i did notice how a Gargoyle started flying midair after Serana joined. NPCs floating often times means too many NPCs in the area. So it might be a good idea to slim down on the amount of followers.
Crossbows being considered cruel can only be (maybe poorly) justified from 2 points of view: #1 it's not as lethal as a gun (or magic I guess) resulting in animals bleeding out over hours and basically comes down to don't make your target suffer needlessly. #2 it gives a lot of power to people who haven't put in a lot of effort (it takes a lot of training to be a knight or longbowman) but it's easy to just pick something up which you just need to point.
It took me a while to realize you were supposed to find the Hall of the Vigilant in-tact and then you were supposed to install this DLC. Not start playing Skyrim with Dawnguard pre-installed and only ever see the hall in flames. Well, that explains why people were so worked-up about it. I used to assume it was always like that. And now, you've found the most clingy/annoying follower in Skyrim. Good luck with that. But, maybe it's just me that feels that way.
Honestly just loved Anne yelling "stay away from my family" outta the blue. Brings some interesting lore on the part of her character to ponder.
Tali is making moves on anne. Mike go steal another horse to assert dominants

Ah! The Bullshit Man!
Vampires are weak to anything pure meaning you can technically kill them with distilled water

like the old saying says; "If you want to train a longbowman, start with his grandfather."
Crossbows, the AK47s of the 10th century.
And then they introduced firearms which we have records of nobility disliking advancements in them because of how much it invalidated armour

Anne has become Dog the Vampire Hunter.
At least she saved the Vigilants this time. She doesn't have to feel the guilt of last time
The crossbow cruel thing comes from possible myth that the pope banned them cus they could pierce armor and kill knights.
God forbid the knights die in battle, that's the peasants job!
@Sp4rt4nSl4ya it was a religious thing, a Christian killing Christians thing. With a crossbow, a peasant could kill a holy knight.
