Dragonshield was my go-to sleeve prior to around 2022, but since then imo their quality has taken a dive. The shuffle feel is extremely inconsistent batch to batch, and I find many batches tend to snag when trying to mash shuffle. I hope their new products can rectify some of these issues.
Yea some boxes are fine but then ill sleeve a commander deck and itll be snag city. Ive been trying out lots of different sleeves I think the katanas are pretty good so are ultra pro mattes.
I’ve noticed similar problems, what sleeves have you settled on as your go-to now?
@@sola4314 They all have pros and cons. Katanas are sturdy and shuffle well, but become sticky rapidly. KMC hypermat have decent shuffle feel and don’t become sticky, but have a higher rate of splitting. Ultra Pros become cloudy with use. I have heard good things about Procyon Dualspec sleeves but they are chronically out of stock.
Have you tried the dual mattes? I use them ALOT and have never had quality issues with them.

I have a question regarding the art sleeves. Do you find some matte dual art sleeves to scratch the art off? I wonder if these new batch of art sleeves are better.
I’ve gotten some pre 2023 dragon shield products and the art scratches off them. Had to resort to triple sleeving to protect them.
I've never had any Dragon Shield art sleeves scratch off - I use the Matte and Brushed art sleeves

Hi, @RedZone Rogue, do you single sleeve or double sleeve your cards? Which do you prefer inner or outer sleeve
I do both! I make a TON of decks across all of the tcgs I play these days so I don't always double sleeve - but I will for some! I do perfect fits + dragon shield dual matte
@@RedZoneRogue is it worth it to double sleeve your cards? Building my first vanguard deck since I have a cousin who plays the game before overdress era and he prefers single sleeving his cards.
Considering ds perfect fit inners + ds dual matte
@@megasonioz16double protection for a few extra dollars is never a bad idea especially if you care for your deck. Also it will add a slight bit of rigidity to the card so it feels just a touch more solid. The one thing though is that there will be excess air trapped inside for a while so it’s recommended you put the deck under some heavy books first and play with them often to let the air out. It will flatten over time
@@Saister yeah but isn't it a lot of effort to make sure that the inner sleeve gets into the outer of your choice. Tried the perfect fits the other day and had a hard time fitting the inners in that the card would often slip out of the sleeve due to pressure. Is there a particular method to avoid this from happening.
Those Tonoris ones and the Tristan ones have not the best print on them. They look washed out compared to the other GA ones (and the FAB ones) including the Silvie Reco ones. Wish they printed those (tony and Tristan) with better color.
