- Marvels Studios just fired employees from their production and development team as they are cutting projects in their upcoming phase 5 and 6 slates as a part of their new plan to improve the overall quality of Marvel Studios and the MCU.

giving the eternals their own movie does not matter anymore, as long as they return is important. I hope Gilgamesh return
Eternals needs to be a series on Disney plus. There’s too much story there to be a movie.
These employees will get rehired by some one in Hollywood. Series will be delayed, or put on the shelf, until a later date. Everything Marvel owns, is a potential series or movie. This really a non-concern. Nothing is ever completely gone forever.
The concern would actually be if those shows come back. They died for a reason
It makes a lot of sense allowing for stated goals and direction. While that is little comfort to those let go the article did say they were junior positions so hopefully opportunities exist elsewhere. Take care all.
Marvel should definetly focus on quality over quantity.

Facts I feel like that’s what they doing now bc they trying to focus on the main story bc they talking about incursions and the kang variants across the multiverse they wanna get fans back into it like the infinity saga but nowadays ppl just wanna punch punch and see blood they don’t wanna use they Brain cells to think they liked thanos bc of the fighting and blood but when it comes to kang the conqueror a multiversal villain oh it’s to woke and it’s dog water like it’s not my fault you don’t wanna use ya brain and think or read the comics yall have to sit down and listen to what the movies and the shows tell you bc they setting up kang dynasty and secret wars they want to make the fans happy that’s why their canceling all them other projects to focus on good quality movies and story telling but ppl gon find something wrong with it bc what you want as a fan and you didn’t get it that makes you hater or biased to marvel like marvel has never done that you should be mad at your self but imma be quiet tho and watch y’all debate from the side lines 😂😂😂

Nothing that has been publicly announced has been cancelled. They left that part out, but everyone else has mentioned it.
As someone that gets bored easily, I never thought Marvel was putting out too much but I'm always for better quality. Unpopular opinion but I really do hope She-Hulk will get a season 2 or at least start including her somehow in an Avengers line up and an Eternals 2. Eternals was such an underrated movie and the number of characters that got proper intros in the time allotted was great. I'm also really hoping we'll actually get to see the black knight suit up (in Blade???). I wouldn't mind Armor Wars getting canceled though, they can only promise something for so long before I just give up.
They better not cancel Armor Wars because I'm still looking forward to watch it. Same goes for Nova.

This sounds excellent news; my only concern is the Young Avengers. I am super hype for this team to be in the MCU; I worry if it is one of those projects canceled, how can they cancel it if they pay that off at the end of “The Marvels.” please, Marvel, do not cancel the Young Avengers it'll break my heart 💔😭😔

I hope if they bring Nova in, the bring back John C. Reilly and show what happened when Thanos got the Power Stone. I would like to see more Moon Knight. Maybe a Midnight Sons team-up. They already have actors and actresses Moon Knight, Warewolf By Night, Elsa Bloodstone, Blade (maybe), and Wong.
I hope Agatha gets a good arc in her show and joins The Midnight Sons. Kathryn Hann's portrayal of Agatha was just amazing! Her experience in witchcraft would really be beneficial to the team.

The next Marvel Phase for me is to go back and read classic comics from 60's and 70's. Kirby, Lee, Ditko and Thomas made magic on newsprint.

They just need to get their writers to focus on better, broad stories. Just off the top of my head, they could make Sam and Layla (Scarlet Scarab) start to have a thing at the same time Moon Knight joins the Avengers. Mark and Steven would hate Sam, while Jake would not care.

I feel excited about their new plan. The important thing is that they should use the strategy and mechanism to ensure they produce quality content. For those that were fired, I pray for an open door for them.

Never want to hear anyone lose their job. That’s unfortunate, from a future marvel standpoint it seems like the right move if they do not need all those people. Hope they find work soon.

I really hate to see people get fired and hard work being dropped. However, I hope that it does indeed help Marvel get better.
Marvel should release 3 movies a year, two shows a year. I think that's reduced projects and There more spread out. One in the beginning of the year, one in the middle of the year and one at the end of the year.

15 is a pretty mild number all things considered. I’d like to know what roles were eliminated but without knowing that it’s not hard to imagine that 15 jobs get created and eliminated pretty frequently.

Seeing the thumbnail made me think they were going to cancel the Young Avengers TV show as well. But I heard they were just cancelling Captain marvel 3, Ant-Man 3 and Eternals 2 so far (or just turning it into another film)
I would be fine with 2 for each. Two movies and two shows per year. That should give all the employees time to make the projects really good.
The danger that lies ahead with adding too many characters to a movie is a disjointed product that glasses over their origins, making them extremely two dimensional.

The crazy thing is, high quantity CAN work, but *ONLY* if they Plan Accordingly. That's been the problem, not only were the movies/shows Terrible, but it didn't feel like they had an actual *Plan* story wise 🤔

After Deadpool and Wolverine, and X-Men success, Disney is going to realign toward Billions again.
Less, better quality stories > a lot of low quality stories.
I theorize some of the, cancelled M.C.U. projects; Aren’t permanently cancelled, but instead shelved, until the new storyline setup, is properly figured out.
In addition I theorize much later down the line, the shelved movies, and shows will be introduced in the (M.C.U.).
Plus to add I theorize that the M.C.U. movies, and shows might be introduced for the Phase#7, & Phase#8 setups.
From the (BATTLE WORLD) movie, to the (NOVA) movie, to the (OKOYE) movie, and others like them are all shelved.
This is great news Disney/Marvel is coming back by doing what they need to do

Im willing to bet theyre trying to find out where real leaks are coming from. Telling different groups different information and seeing what happens is how they would do that. I bet most of these were just mentioned in meeting and never got beyond that so they used them this way instead. It has changed way too much in the last year for all of these to have been seriously considered.

Putting some of these characters that were going to get their own solo project or sequel project into other movies or shows is a good idea.

They could change the approach and still give us the sequels too:
Like Captain Marvel 3 as The Marvels 2, Eternals 2 as Guardians of the Galaxy: Eternal Search (something like that) is fine. And they need not make Attorney at Law season 2 but another project (with a new sub-title) for She-Hulk.
So rather than write the story around the characters as they have done in the past, they're going to write the best fitting characters into the story.
And it also sounds like they're going to try to make each movie bigger by including more characters and more team-up type films.
Doctor Strange 3 better be happening I love that guy and Black Panther too
I'm concerned with this new method of deciding movies that they can manage to keep the overarching story going. Killing a movie being produced might end up dropping some key elements in the storyline.
Not doing Nova would be a huge own goal imo.
We are DESPERATE to see that scene of Thanos wrecking the Nova Core, and what happened.
Having a 30 minute Thanos and Nova arc at the start of the film, followed by a time skip, would 100% get butts in seats.

Don't mind the scale down, as long as it doesn't kill something along the line of Loki (I know Loki is done, but looking at other future shows thay could be as great as Loki).
