    I love how Disney+ has carved a place as a unique source for music. Hamilton. Elton John in Dodger Stadium. Taylor Swift ERAS Tour. The Beatles’ unique documentaries.

    I really hope that Disney plus finally being profitable means that Disney will finally, officially start adding more of their classic content to Disney plus this year. A lot of huge anniversaries are headed our way this year, and most of them involve Disney. So, as a way to celebrate those huge anniversaries that involve Disney, Disney really should add more of their classic content to Disney plus this year. What do you all think? Feel free to reply and give me your oppinion(s) on this.

    Comcast made similar predictions about parks.

    Is Disney’s profitability illusory?
    To use an analogy, it would be like someone who wants to lose weight saying that they will lose X amount by such and such a date, going on a crash diet, reaching their goal weight, but in actuality, they’re still quite unhealthy.
    Disney has taken such drastic action to cut costs etc, it does make you wonder if this news of profitability is a facade. Just scratch beneath the surface a little, and things aren’t as good as would appear.
    Other channels reporting this haven’t spun it so positively.

      I say yes and no. No because they probably can reach profitability by the end of 2024.
      Yes because their cost cutting no doubt has cost them faith in a percentage of their fanbase. They weren't just cutting cost in their movies and streaming service, but even their theme parks which is why their theme parks revenue is soft. Because people were complaining about the parks and went over to Universal instead.
      Now Disney has to try and earn back the faith of those lost audience.

    Headline is not a surprise, ahead of original schedule, due to unnecessary cuts to content because investors who fail to follow Graham/Buffett have the patience of a gnat.... The original plan said one thing, if one believed that plan and invested, they wouldn't have freaked out over the little bumps in the road.... Anyone recall how long it took Netflix to go from "switch on" to profitability? Hint: wasn't instantaneous

    So what will they do next now that Disney+ has become profitable?

    • @aishaalamoudi599

      the question become how big is the profit margin "profit/revenue" Netflix is up to 20-25% "25% of revenue is profit" with cable it is 35% most people question whether streaming will ever get to those profit margins..... we'll see.

      Hopefully bring in more legacy content! We NEED House of Mouse, Aladdin The Series, and the remainder of the Mickey Mouse Club, just to name a few!!

      @@henstar658 I'm still waiting for Honey I Shrunk the Kids the TV series to be added. Also, it seems like for some reason people overlook that while the two Brave Little Toaster sequels have been on the streaming service since launch, the first movie has never been on there.

    Can Disney plus bring mtv content

  • @DaveG-ur1wm

    I believe Disney needs to move all of their linear tv networks to Disney+ and then sell off the Hulu live tv part.

    • @entertainmentfan1463
      @entertainmentfan1463 Před 28 dny

      Yeah they should just sell all their live tv parts or move it over to ESPN. Because most people who pays for a subscription fee for scripted content is not going to be watching some live sport when most of that stuff can be seen for free on some channel. There's a reason Netflix's attempts at live sporting event have been nothing but flops.

    Fake news if true stock will not have went down IT will have jump up

  • @Musicradio77Network
    @Musicradio77Network Před 17 dny

    He lied! Disney+ is NOT profitable, because the subscriptions are going down the drain, and now, Tubi is dominating Disney+ and yes, Tubi is going to beat Disney+ out of the ball park. And guess what? They’re now doing a triple bundle with Hulu and now Max, and of course, the Disney stock is way down the charts. Not a good sign., and of course, “X-Men ‘97” and “Doctor Who” are way down the drain. This is why Disney+ is NOT profitable. Thanks to Tubi.
    And speaking of Disney+, Comcast is going to do the same thing with the triple bundle that includes Netflix, Apple TV+ and Peacock later this year, and they’re going to kick Disney’s butt!
