Hey, A. Here are some things to try with the ORX coil problem. 1. Rub the contacts on the coil with a non abrasive pencil eraser to clean them. 2. Make sure the spring pins on the charging clip go in and out freely. A little silicone spray on a Qtip applied to the spring pins will help the spring pins move more freely. 3. The cable could be at fault. Plug the cable into the charger and then the coil clip and connect it to the coil. Make sure the charging light on the coil is indicating that it is charging. Once it’s charging, don’t move anything (coil or cable) and see if it charges fully. If not, the coil probably has a problem. The cable could also be bad, as I’ve heard of recent D2 owners with defective cables. Maybe your supplier can hook you up with another cable. Good luck, A.
I appreciate all those tips man! I was going through forums and youtube videos for about 3 days trying to troubleshoot tried pretty much everything I could find and think of. Tried different cables, charging bricks.. tried plugging into the wall, PC... Tried both the cables the 3 way one for all the accessories, that one worked to charge the control box and headphones so I couldn't imagine that cable could be at fault.. tried a lot just wiggling around the clip.. I'm hoping it's something with the charging clip so I decided i'd make one last attempt to get another charge clip and if it don't work I'll just send it in to warranty.. it's frustrating but things happen ! Thanks again for taking the time to leave some tips and tricks.. hoping I can get that baby working again soon.
@@TreasureOutdoors I’ve had to charge the D2 coil once so far and I don’t like the clip too much. It’s difficult to get snapped on the coil over the coil cover just right. It just seems kind of awkward to use.

I have not had any issues like this so far (have the 9" round HF and the 9" x35).. still loving this machine and hit some epic 1800s silver in a park this weekend!
Hoping to get it fixed!! Coil started RANDOMLY blinking today after 3 days of attempted charging... probably gonna be a faulty coil I'm gonna have to turn in... once that gets fixed.. loving this machine!! 👍👍

25:45 Its been a know issue that the Deus I coils have a shitty interface where the clip will come off easily and not charge properly. It not a good interface and a bit fussy. Be caution if you put the Deus I or Deus II coils on a hard flat surface as some times this will push the charge clip off the coil as well. Also be sure to try cleaning the two charge pads on the coil and the spring contacts on the charge clip, use a decent plastic safe electronics cleaner. All the best!

Great video, thanks for sharing. Have you tried the Nokta Legend since they released the beach update. Hope it's still got some depth now that they got it running quieter. Favoring the Equinox as my next detector over the XP Deus II but I don't like the micro-cracks it's prone to developing and leaks because of them. Hope they straighten out the Legend's quirks. Getting impatient and about to buy a detector so I can hit the beaches with a little more confidence in my equipment. If the Equinox floods at least i'll have the warranty for a couple years but it will still be a downer.
I've used the Legend since the last update and it works great. Multi Wet All Metal is extremely quiet after performing a ground balance. Excellent work by Nokta. 👍😁
I got a chance to get down to the beach for about 15 minutes after the update, my first impressions are that it did seem to be better but won't know for sure until I get out there for a couple full hunts. Looking forward to getting down there and trying it 👍

Nice Heart Pendant.. The only reason why will not buy the Orx and the deus is because there is just too much to keep up on charging it. other then that I am sure they are great detectors..
Thanks Dan... definitely can create more failure points with the more complicated machines but once whatever is causing this issue is fixed I think it'll be good to go.. as long as it doesn't happen again!
That 22cal is a starter gun shell I think, I have found a couple of those, the 38cal and 9mm are the real scary ones.
I would try another charging block. Realistically you shouldn't have to charge it more than 3 hours.
Hopefully it has a good warranty. LoL
Yeah... I think it's a 5 year warranty but I didn't want to have to send it in.. thinking I might have to at this point. SHAME!
Or maybe it's just the cord. I would try another cord, charging block, or perhaps the coil charger clip is defective.
Coil is acting wonky as HECK. I tried charging it for a few days and gave up... I woke up one morning.. the light was blinking and it was fully charged but I didn't even have it on the charger 😂 thinking some kind of issue with standby because when the light is blinking how its supposed to it charges instantly no problem but stops blinking randomly without actually going dead when that happens it won't pair and it wont charge
My battery clip is a pain. Someone is offering something different.
Looks like a bottom piece is fitted from underneath and the top piece attached to the bottom piece with magnets.
No clumsy spring clip. I might order one and try it.

I had to send my coil for replacement, was somehow faulty.
It's been working good ever since but I have seen that attachment you're talking about, looks good if you have the $$.
Sounds like there might be a short in the coil but let the warranty fix that. I guess it's because the coil is waterproof but it's a shame there isn't a shut off switch on the coil. Anything with a stand by mode will have a constant draw on the batteries and it will run the batteries down over time. Deus it seems has some really great technology but some really crappy weak attributes also. I'm not saying they are no good but as in every product there is improvements needed and maybe the company watches videos like yours and listen to your feedback and will make improvements.
I'm kind of leaning in the direction of faulty coil... definitely will send it in here soon. I agree about that point, some pretty cool advanced tech but that just leaves more failure points... I'll give it a go to get it repaired but if something happens again within the first couple months probably not gonna keep it around. It feels awesome when it works! But doesn't do much good being a paper weight 🤣
Plug it into the wall not a PC not enough juice thru the PC port ..Try a single wire charge cable not the 3 way
Tried them both, thanks for the tips man. Thinking at this point it's gotta be the charging clip or just a faulty coil. Been troubleshooting for like 3 days lol, should have just send it in already.
My ORX stayed charge for ever & ever …..once you get the issue fixed…..should work fine
Yeah just need to fix that issue, I should have probably already sent it in to the warranty center just been enjoying it when it does work so didn't want to have to send it in... thanks rob.

Not sure I care about a detector I have to use two hands to operate, what’s the deal with that, who figured that would be practical? I dunno.
It mounts on the shaft I just decided to use it today unmounted pretty much for just a good look at the target ID numbers
