@@jimmyboy131 If you perceive the entire concept of a woman who is strong to mean nothing at all, that says alot more about you than it does any woman.
@@vincentcerasoli5969 I'll tell you what it isn't: if someone calls a woman "strong", and that almost always comes with "and independent", as if those are all one word. It isn't an automatic quality someone has simply because she's a woman. No one goes around talking about how strong a man is, etc. It's always how strong a woman is. Any time you see a woman being interviewed you'll hear about "how strong" she is. But why do they say that? Usually it's because she did something. Diana is doing work for the people. OK that's a good thing but it doesn't qualify her as being strong. It just means she's trying to be a decent human. The royals should be doing that. They're worthless for anything else. Is she strong because she stood out from the norm for a royal? Um, OK? If a prince did that you wouldn't be hearing how strong he is. But what qualifies her as being strong? If she was a man that word wouldn't be used. It's like we've been conditioned to put "strong" and "woman" together all the time. Why is that? Why can't a woman just be a woman without having to attach an additional qualifier to her? If she should be seen as strong, it should be a very specific reason, and not have it brought in the conversation because she's a woman. We should watch what she does and determine for ourselves if the word "strong" comes to mind naturally, without being told. Example: "She ran the marathon at a record pace." That took genuine strength, of body and of will. OK I like that and I would quickly think that she's a strong individual, probably stronger than me. But you see what I mean? We often speak or behave according to conditioning.
@@squamoza Yes indeed. I felt closer to Princess Diana because of that. I think a lot of British people did. After her death, books of condolences were opened across the UK for people to leave their tributes. I wrote that I wanted the Spencers to replace the House of Windsor so we'd have an English royal family again!
It's really troubling because the way she was speaking in this interview, it's like deep down she knew she might die. And that letter she later wrote saying she might end up dying in a car accident was so eerie considering it came true. I don't think we'll ever truly know if her death was accidental or not...
What makes her so elegant is that her inside is just as beautiful as the outside her outer beauty attracts but it's her inner beauty that captivated the world she was a VERY IMPRESSIVE WOMAN!
She had deep, doe-like eyes like Michael Jackson. They both went against the limitations placed upon them and went out into the world and impacted change on the ground. Stared into people's eyes and listened to their stories. Were vilified, persecuted and treated less-that human by their respective institutions and the press used their sorcery to attempt to tarnish their names and stop people from seeking the truth. God rest their souls. May we honour them by remembering their light and following in the footsteps of their good deeds.
Oh how this hurts on another level now… If things had gone differently, if Charles had truly loved Diana, not Camilla, we’d be reading ‘Queen Consort Diana’ at the moment… I am so sorry for the way you were treated, Lady Di. You were not so fragile as a candle in the wind, you had so much strength, grace and a genuinely good heart, unafraid to be accessible to those most vulnerable. You deserved much better. And I’m sure it is not only me who thinks of you now that Charles is king, and the opportunities you could have been afforded had life only worked out differently for you… Least of all, the ability to know and love your five grandchildren… Thinking of you at this time of transition for the Royal family…
💞Once upon a time, there was a Beautiful Princess named Diana. Love, like waves of positive energy, radiated from her body towards the people of the world-making them feel loved, content, and happy. So, the people made Diana their "Queen of Hearts", and she will live in our hearts forever. 💞
Diana would have been a phenomenal Queen because she would have done things differently. Seeing the videos of her and I see why people loved her. I would have loved her as a person because she did things differently
0:20 I think people don't want her to be Queen because she was and will be ALREADY Queen of People's Hearts, that she is too good for the British throne and will never be taken away for all these ;o; RIP our beautiful princess/queen
She would have been the perfect Queen of England....she fits the role perfectly and flawlessly. If she'd ever become the queen I'd have visited her or looked for an opportunity to take a picture with her
Almost 25 years after her death her memory and legacy and her love are still more powerful and felt than any member of the royal family… However I can actually see it in William… I’m sure he will do the UK proud… RIP Princess Diana we will always love you

this was so beautifully said.. and everything she said was really how anyone would ever describe her. she was so pure and real, i wish i could have witnessed the things she did when she was alive.
You can feel the pain when she says “they’ve decided I’m a non-starter”. As someone who struggles with depression, thefeeling of others “writing you off” is intergraded into your mental state. Contrary to her self-doubt, she was - and still is - loved fiercely by millions of people around the world.
I was born 1 year after her death which I honestly can't get over. Diana might have been the kindest person ever, and it breaks my heart that she faced such abuse from the rest of the establishment especially Charles. In some alternate reality, Diana would have made an incredible Queen. Even though we are essentially going to have a rather short time with Charles, him being King is just not a pleasant concept, not in the least. All I feel for Charles is disgust.
I have quite a bit of hatefulness within me and I was frustrated with things that happened today. Every time I watch this video I remind myself that the priceless act of loving will bring me further than hatred. I'm okay now.
Oh my gosh, those big beautiful eyes. Those eyes and her demeanor speak of so much pain and realness but also exhaustion. I resonate with her so much. God rest the soul of this beautiful queen (a queen of people's hearts not a political one). This is the request and rawest interview I've ever seen in my life.
My God... her voice just sounds so lovely to hear. "Someone's got to go out there and love people." This kills me... As in, go out and give more than a public address on TV, during national times of strife? Such as the Queen during the London bombings- "You are all in our hearts." Not saying that it wasn't at all meaningful or heartfelt, and the Queen did do her time in the armed services, to an extent; but Diana actually was in the crowds, in the slums, with the people. Her charity work and resources spent on the downtrodden, the sick, the less fortunate; all was seemingly eclipsed by tabloids and royal family expectations. Not saying there wasn't anyone who acknowledged her selfless acts, but as a child, I can recall every tabloid in the grocery store being covered in "Lady Di" gossip; plus the gossip of her friend Michael, or as the magazines dubbed him, "wacko jacko". Sad. I mean, as kids of the 90's, we grew up potentially thinking these horrible rumors were fact. The power of the media to influence the impressionable. I somehow knew it was all BS because I'd seen them both doing so much more on TV. Sigh
Truly great acting by Diana Spencer. No one could have knifed _The Firm_ as viciously and effectively as she did. She declared she wasn't doing it for revenge: the entire interview tells a different story.

I have been thinking the same. Poor Diana. She was treated dreadfully by Charles all because of being in an arranged union.
That wouldn't of been good for the establishment though that's why she was taken out unfortunately
One of the only major "celebrity" deaths that make me choke up decades after it happened.

So much sadness in her voice and eyes. If she only knew back then ,that people would love her after so many years, she would be so happy.
