Thank you Doug... MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
You're Welcome!
This is word cloud as an artistic exercise - meaning you have the time to do the artwork. I was hoping for something more functional, like for a business setting (i.e. survey responses) where we do not have the time to position and resize every single word. Thank you for the tutorial, but it's not quite what I was hoping for.
maybe wordle can do it for you, but then you can insert it into an image of your choosing

OMG. You explain this so well. I love the shortcuts that you have shown me as well. Thank you very much....
sorry, I did not undersatnd, does this cloud adjust the size of the words according to their ranks? thanks in advance!
No.
When you created your Rank formula you forgot to press F4 for an absolute reference, so your rankings are incorrect. However, this was still an interesting tutorial which I might try to find a use for. Thanks.
Hi Steve Grey, thanks for the comment!
Can the words be generated with respect to its frequency?
The only problem is that there is no association between the randomized number, the rank and the words. The size of the word in the cloud should reflect the frequency (that is how many times that word appeared in the words listed).
Hi Jenkins Macedo, thanks for the comment!
@@DougHExcel either way. Good tutorial. Thanks for the tricks.
sorry to say but word clouds should adjust the size automatically otherwise no point in having this and resizing this manually..
sambit dash, that is very interesting...thanks for letting me know.
The formula was good, but I was looking for excel to generate a word cloud (infogram) and this is copying and pasting!
Hi Sally Butler, thanks for the comment!
Great tricks but you don't want to this for 900 rows or do you?
yeah for that many it'll be a word blender, word tornado...ughh...way too much
no...isnt there a simple way? like excel doing all the stuff ..and return the word cloud?
CH D, that is very interesting...thanks for letting me know.
You spent more time explaining how to generate random numbers and ranks than the technique you promised in the title, if we take out all the basic stuff out of your video it will not be more than 3-5 minutes. Please mention in title/description if the video is for beginners or experts.
nothing like a teacher talking for his own sake
kalena g, that is very interesting...thanks for letting me know.
Spent 8 minutes creating a fake list...then you created a box with manually resized words.
Hi asu174, thanks for the feedback!
Simple and 13 minutes of talking do not jive. TLDW
Andy H, that is very interesting...thanks for letting me know.
No simple
Hi Keith King, thanks for the comment!
