It sorta reminded me of the Cubs 2016 WS run. That year fans could feel the magic but bit our tongues because we didnt want to have that much hope. We made some kick ass memes that year and ended up riding them all the way through. Really wish the Bengals got to cap it off. I have 0 enthusiasm for an LA win.

Granted the Rams were without all of their receivers (Robert woods, Higbee, OBJ for most the game). All you guys had to do was cover cooper kupp and you couldn't do that. Kinda pathetic.

Well I learned the refs will ruin the pacing of the game and let the shitier team win. Chiefs got hosed by several BS calls everytime they turned things around the previous year. And this year the rams got carried to their game winning TD. I mean I knew homefield advantage would be nice to have in the SB but I didn't think totally and completely unrelated ref$ would be the deciding factor of both games.

The Bengals got away with a obvious face mask on Ramsey that kept them in the game and the Buccaneers last year literally pulled the same crap the Chiefs did the previous year. The Buccaneers got away with a lot of holding as well but only the Chiefs got called for it. But since it's Tom Brady no one cares.

I just don't believe that this Bengals team is a one and done team. The relationship that Joe Burrow has with Jamarr Chase, the fact that Cincy has a young talented group of guys who can make plays, like Joe Mixon... they're gonna be back here for sure. Next time, things will be different.
You never know about these things though. Look at the Packers. Every year is a new hill to climb, and if anyone slacks off you can't get there. Not sure about the Bengals, but I know that the way my team reacts to ANY success at all is to get full of themselves and talk trash all offseason. It never fails, and then you can't ever do anything the next season. Complacency is by far the most crippling thing that happens to teams. It's why repeating is so hard. Very hard to not get full of yourself.
Be wary of the Bills and Chiefs. It’s a three way battle to get there regardless of the W/L record.
The owner has been notoriously cheap, and they could really benefit from splashing out in free agency for things like the O-Line. The prolonged success of the team is going to depend going to depend on the owner being willing to invest in the team. I hope he does, because Burrow is clearly worth it

Considering the fact the Bengals were a punchline team since the 1990s then managed to come an O-line away from winning a Super Bowl in 2022 is impressive.
Even with seven playoff appearances after the 2005 season.

This draft is full of O Line and the bengals have the third largest salary cap in the nfl. They are most definitely gonna make it to next year's bowl as long as burrow doesn't break his joe legs

See, our problem was that we were leading before the fourth quarter. Per Bengals post season rules, we have to be down by at least 10 points if we’re going to win.

Even tough the Bengals cleary needed a OL I can absolutley understand taking Chase the connection from him and Burrow just made things smoothly, think overall it was worth it hopefully Burrow learns a lot from it, can handle bad OL days in the future and the Bengals acutally adress it to keep him upright.

bengals did well having a questionable o-line, but lets not forget Eli Apple really screwed it on LA's 4th down 3&goal with the penalty resetting them to 1st down
Eli apple is and always has been garbage, and if you noticed LA was doing their best with their offensive scheming to force apple into being the one to cover kupp cause they knew they could win that match up if stafford and kupp played well. Same way they managed to start getting sacks in the second half, they changed their scheming to start forcing donald into one on one coverage against the weaker side of cincys O-line which made it collapse rapidly and cincy didn't have a way to scheme past that.

The media in the post season was against the Bengals the entire time. When you and Perna celebrated the win over the Chiefs, it was exactly like my family in the living room that waited 30+ years. Tom, you became one of us. Not just a bandwagonner. A bona fide Nasti Natty fan for life. KGM became more than a meme. It became a mantra of belief. Zac Taylor changed the culture of the Cincinnati football team. Tom Grossi changed the online support culture for the Kitty Team. It was a tough loss, but you narrated the hell out of this wild ride that gave it all the justice it deserved. Thanks for the season Tom! Kitty will meow again!

@@ultravenia Specifically Shannon Sharpe and Stepehn A. It started with Tennessee. Only two people picked the Bengals to win, same with the Chiefs. Shannon had Mahomes on a pedestal so high it took binoculars to see him. Shannon literally said the Rams were going to be so far ahead and over matched for the Bengals that the coaches would be napping on the sidelines. Stephen A hasn't once believed they had a chance. When they beat the Chiefs, the narrative wasn't how resilient the Bengals were. It wasn't how their offense could be just as explosive as KCs. The narrator was How Did KCs Defense Blow It?
It's a matter of perspective. And often times the perspective supported whoever the Bengals were playing against.

This was a phemononal season for the Bengals. Took the Division for the first time in years. Wone 3 playoff games after a 33 year draught. AFC Champions. Amazing turnaround. The Super Bowl loss doesn't take much away from that. I remember when people got excited just because Marvin Lewis got the Bengals to win two games in a row. That's how low it got at one point. Extremely excited for the future.

I very much appreciate seeing the Bengals make it as far as they did. For a traumatized fan base over the last few decades, there's a lot to be grateful for. Wished for a win but I finally believe they will be competing at the next level for years to come.
Joe Burrow's a beast for not having an O-line. I can only imagine how much better they'd be with a real O-line. And they kept it competitive with the Rams until the very end.

Small critique: You might want to split the AFCCG into the first half and the second half. It'd break up the routine slightly and the game was certainly deserving of it.
TB honest this season was for the rams they went all in with trades. But if the Bengals get a good O-line they have a real shot at being back next year.

Bills fan here, was pulling for the Bengals but they were obviously the weaker team in the playoffs this year. Get that O Line upgraded, cut Apple, and they'll be right back in it. AFC is going to be a bloodbath this year.
