I keep seeing her tv commercial play in my area almost everyday. I'm glad I decided to check out her music. I'm pleasantly surprised. Her guitarist is off-the-chain, and she has the energy of an aerobics instructor. This girl didn't break a sweat or lose her breath during the whole performance. What a set of lungs she has!
This Lady was awesome!!!!!!! WOW! what a performance, I know we are alittle behind the rest of the country here in rural New Mexico, This was the first time hearing her, I'm sold..... amazing!!!!!!! And her band, what can i say, THANK YOU!
Janelle Monae and Aloe Blacc most underrated artists. The world is mad sleepin'on 'em! They're not gettin nearly enough attention. Janelle's got it all, the voice, the moves, the style and the talent to write her own music. And she even comes up with the concepts for her videos and stage performances. True artist and damn she sounds good live!
The festival environment signals the death of live music. The sound is awful and the sound crew are obviously incompetent. For a production band to be playing at an open air venue, with no soundcheck, and most likely a union crew that outbid that sabotaged the bands crew it is just a recipe for a rather troubling performance. But Janelle Monae is a pro and super duper talented.
