My first randomized nuzlocke got ended by my opponent having a tentacruel when all my Pokémon were fire type because of first encounter bs
my first Randomizer Nuzlocke was so unlucky my Starter was Alakazam with Confusion and my first encounter was a Magikarp then I ran into a trainer with a Skuntank
My first battle was with Sableye and I had to literally resort to using Foresight for 5 turns along with 4 heals
as soon as you said "Shiny Poochyena", the shiny galarian zigzagoon i've been hunting for 3 days just popped up. Thanks Dobbs.

or any pokemon with Minimize in the Generation 1 games lol i know the pain. Or facing level twenties or thirties Koffing or Weezing and they always use explosion or selfdestruct in their first move. Best pokemon to avoid it is a Ghost type and not always is that available. Ive nearly lost battles that was clearly in my favor due to the opponents making their pokemon commit kamikaze on you.

@@TidepodTodcycle Sounds like me with a ps2 controller after trying for hours to win a certain race (dont ask me which one as i dont remember) on NFS Underground and sitting there for 2 minutes letting my frustrations brew in me until i snapped and ripped the controller in two without so much as a word (the controller was already cracked at the time due to being old). This happened back in 2006 lol. Which included ripping the controller's motherboard in half too :P

Here is a funny soul link story
So me and my buddy were doing a soul link of black and white
My starter was a magmar while my friends starter was a groudon
My friends rival had a ducklett who was immune to groudons attacks so we decided to train until groudon gained a fire type move
Little did we know that ducklett had flash fire making our grinding pointless
However we did beat the ducklett using struggle and a lot of potions
But the very next fight my magmar fought a reshiram that i managed to beat only for that same trainer to have a zakrom with dragon rage
My magmar fainted and we lost the soul link
a level 100 magicarp wouldn't be an epic fail... it would be a epic flail XD

I like how the music for number 8 is an 8-bit version of the athletic theme from Super Mario World.
I remember stopping by the resort area once in a while to see how high level the magikarps there actually were (no internet at the time), and I ended up finding a lv89 magikarp. Immediately caught it. Lv90 gyarados hell yeah!
Zubats must be really ugly if they try too avoid them.

Currently doing an emerald nuzlocke, starter options were metagross, feebas, and regi rock. I grabbed metagross, and in the first trainer battle survived with 1 hp because of self destruct, caught a shiny celebi after that and watched Wally catch a reliancth. Failed after Roxanne had wailord, moltres, and Charizard
Due to the way shinies worked in gen 3, when you get the Shiny poochyena, the Shiny patch is close so when you soft reset you could get a Shiny starter. So you'd actually DO wanna encounter a Shiny poochyena

I feel your pain, man. Back when played Battle Revolution, I had a whole list of Pokemon that I always hated encountering. Forretress was the worst offender because of all its resistances, immunity to Toxic, stall tactics, and it usually knew Explosion. Others mons were known for using Explosion as well, and I also dreaded them, but Forretress was particularly annoying. Some others I always felt like I never stood a chance against were Alakazam, Sharpedo, Scyther/Scizor, Octillery, Jynx/Froslass (I loved using Dragon-types), Altaria, Spiritomb, Sableye, and any mons that were notorious for using One-Hit KO moves.
Most people: I hate Zubat.
Me: I'll make Zubat my first ever shiny hunt!
I have a soft spot for Zubat because it was my first ever shiny ☺️ he's now a beautiful pink Crobat and I love him

Same for me (not counting the red Gyarados of Silver) I hunted a Zubat in Moon, my first ever shiny, closely followed by a bred Shiny Beldum._
Now they both rest in the hall of fame of both Moon and Ultra Moon... never to be used again. My dear shinies will never leave the game because I can't pay for an online service nor pokebank or pokehome or whatever it's called

I don't mind Zubats at all, but that's mostly because my first shiny (not counting the obligatory red Gyarados) was a Zubat way back in Pokémon Silver, and the Crobat it eventually became was my favorite Pokémon on that team, not counting my starter. So that's left me with a permanent soft spot for the entire Zubat line.
Oh wow I never knew the shiny Poochyena and Ralts were a thing even though the OG Hoenn games are my most played ones. Ironically my only Hoenn shiny Pokémon I ever caught was a Poochyena! When the crystal remake for the DS came out I ran into a shiny Rattata before I even had my Pokéballs (': First I was shook, but it was still an interesting moment to experience

Encountering Zubats all the time is totally relatable! However, while I was going through Mt Moon in the beginning of my LeafGreen file (think I was 12 at the time, starter was Ivysaur), I got annoyed at the Zubats because I ran out of repels and then suddenly I encountered a shiny Zubat! I flipped out and caught it! Now its a shiny Crobat and I love him a lot 😆

5:35 i found that pokémon before i got pokeballs in my nuslocke run, it was pain
In a 4th gen nuzlocke I got swept by the second gyms Roseraid. (Excuse my lack of proper terms) I had a Grotle and Luxio I trained to around level 18-20 but the Roseraid was level 22 and with grass knot was able to out DPS my healing because it was almost only getting crits and when it didn't use grass knot it would poison me with poison sting first try

My first ever shiny was a zubat in omega ruby (seriously, I didn't encounter a shiny before this game) and that's down to how often you come across it so I'm sort of glad it's so common :)
You've lost a nuzlocke to the regis, I've lost an incredible yellow randomizer team to a metapod. I looked away so I never did see what move it used. While the movesets seemed standard for my team, so I decided to venture forth as if the nuzlocke never even happened in the first place. Later, I picked up Fly and taught it to my starter, a Grimer that had evolved shortly before I reached Lavender Town.
I saw two shinies, caught em both. One was the very first random battle of New Year's Day!
Unfortunately, the other one is an impossible Machop (I was using Action Replay to make all encounters Machop so I could EV train). I still kept it, though
I guess I've caught about 10 shinies if you count all of the Red Gyarados I've captured :P
I lost my first X nuzlocke attempt to a rollout Dunsparce, while grinding. It just... didn't miss.
I lost a randomized nuzlocke to a venusaur in mount moon because the only pokemon i had were a quagsire and a level 3 wynaut that couldn't attack
Shedinja always messed me up whenever I tried to get to the frontier brain with Latios. He could show up in both the bug and ghost categories if I'm not mistaken. But ...ehhyeah Good times....💫
