    I'd love to see this test done with the 12-bit 3.7k raw! Thanks for all your hard work.

    Great video Julian. I have the original R6. I rented 2 R6mk2’s and found them to be quite the upgrade just in the hand and how they shot. Your video shows how much more capable the RAW files are. Although I will say they look really close as long as your exposure is correct.

    nice comparison Julian!
    thank you for showing the differences between these two formats.
    RAW is still king!

    Great dynamic range in C-Log 2/ProRes RAW.
    Time for Canon to ditch C-Log 3 and let their cameras shine.

    Świetny film. Zastanawiam się właśnie co wybrać - Canon R6II czy Lumix 5sIIx. Dotychczas siedzę na Canonach 5D i 6D ale w fotografii. Teraz zaczynam wideo więc rozważam body innego producenta. Co byś doradził?

      Sam nie mogę do końca wybrać i trzymam obydwa. Wole Canona do fotografii a Panasonica do video. Jeśli robisz zdjęcia które maja dużo drobnych detali to S5II wytwarza "moire" którą potem trzeba usuwać.

    Hi Julian, did you face any iso issues on recording 6k prores raw? Seem like the minimum iso is 800 on my r6 mark ii and it cant be adjusted to a lower iso.

    • @juliankrakow
      @juliankrakow  Před rokem

      You can only record at ISO 800 or higher and then apparently change the ISO in FCPX ( I don't use FCPX so I can't confirm it) but yeah, the ProRes RAW is pretty limited.

    If you could shoot In clog2 could be similar? Can you test both cameras in ProRes raw?

    • @juliankrakow
      @juliankrakow  Před rokem

      This is the same camera, the comparison is between in camera C-log 3 vs ProRes RAW output to Ninja V. C-log 2 could give us some extra latitude over C-Log 3 but it wouldn't be as good as the ProRes RAW.

      Is ProRes raw file size equivalent to s5ii dynamic but smaller size? Of course less control of WB and color though right ?

    • @juliankrakow
      @juliankrakow  Před rokem

      @@jaywbus The ProRes RAW files are much larger then S5II in camera files. The dynamic range is also better with ProRes RAW but this month there should be an update for S5II to record ProRes RAW externally just like the Canon R6 MK II
      And yes, ProRes RAW will give you better control over the WB and ISO but only if you use FCPX.

    Mr r6 2 not recording in clog2 but only in clog3

      If you record in ProRes RAW you grade the the footage using C-log 2 as it gives most tonality.

    This video reaffirms what many say about prores raw, it's very good during the day but at night you don't gain much in dynamic range and it's very noisy. Prores raw is the best without a doubt, what do you think about it? Good job @juliancracovia

    • @juliankrakow
      @juliankrakow  Před rokem +1

      Exactly, in fact it is often better to use standard profile for night footage where you expose for the light and crash blacks. Thank you watching and please consider subscribing.
