  • The town of Biel/Bienne is the metropolis of Swiss watchmaking and headquarters to brands such as Rolex, Tissot & Swatch. It’s located along the eastern end of the same called lake just at the foot of the first mountain range of the Jura Mountains.
It is renowned for its historic center and has a charming bilingual tradition. The old city of Bienne includes a 15th-century Gothic church, guild halls and fountains. While the newer buildings include the Neuhaus and Schwab Museums and the Centre PasquArt.
So with excellent museums, restaurants, and cafés, Biel/Bienne is definitely a great place to visit.
Enjoy the video and let us know where you're watching from!

I was born and grew up in Biel/Bienne. Really nice video and quite interesting to watch you explore and discover my old hometown. Biel/Bienne is the only official bilingual city in Switzerland, you can see road names marked in german and french. Also going to cinema is fun as movies are shown in their original language and subtitles in german and french. Was quite a shock for me the first time in a cinema outside of Biel/Bienne: why the heck are they talking german? Oh, i see.
If you're ever close to us (9115), we're sure have a coffee for you...or a coke zero (50% off, just kidding).

You're reminding me that there's a lot of Switzerland I haven't seen - even after 30 odd years here - happy prospect! That water park looks fabulous, but I'll make sure I catch a less windy, choppy day! Lovely video as always guys. :-)

I live in Biel-Bienne, that bridge is not very high. At that spot, there's just one little thing because it's a quite shallow canal. I often go SUPing under this bridge. the water is there just about two meters deep

I noticed in your lovely film that there are Cars unlocked, Motorbikes without Chains and Padlocks, Houses with their windows open, No spray painting, No busted windows and amazingly NO CRACK DEALERS on every street corner, and they say the USA is the most advanced country in the world ! Last night outside my window there was gunfire and Cop cars with sirens screaming everywhere, gimmie Europe anyday, sure beats Michigan !!
