I don't understand the diff. A great race. But the SuXS blog guys have got to be the babies of the field. I just watched a video where the SuXS fat guy couldn't keep it on the trail and clipped a tree. That guy was in the FREEDOM 500 and drove equally as ... well ... badly. It does seem a bit sketchy that the girl won. But with the mullet your get power in the South. How does it go? "Business up front, party in my rear?" Somehow that doesn't seem right ...

Honestly had no problem paying money. It takes a ton of money to own the track, maintain the track, pay the company to broadcast it, buy the cars, get insurance for the event, pay for upkeep, repairs, and upgrades. I’d pay again no problem. You and your team put on such a great show and it awesome to watch in the midst of all this COVID chaos. Thanks for the show and I’m glad you guys are all safe and okay!!! Hell Yeah Brother!!!

Watching the race I wasn't expecting much re: the broadcast. Once the race started and the Vic's took off you guys looked so legit I was all in from that point on, no matter what was happening with the sound. I loved the drone cam! Race was perfect for the moment and glad everything worked out safely. Great job by everyone involved!

Freedom 500 open class: raffle off 20 or so spots to viewers, bring your own Crown Vic, rollcage only, must have P71 package, no mods, one backup per team.
Freedom 500 Invitational: same as inaugural freedom 500, cage and nitrous with communal backup cars.
Freedom 500 Unlimited: must be Crown Vic, must have cage. All mods allowed, no backup cars.
i agree i love the idea, but that sounds like of extra effort. something that would be a little easier logistically would be to just do 1 lap head-to-head oval drag races, maybe in an elimination style tournament. you can find a lot of tracks doing spectator drags where spectators or whoever can bring their daily drivers and do a little racing before the main event starts. they could do that with but with crown vics like a stock class and/or an unlimited class in a double elimination tournament, with the same tires, 1 lap each. that would remove a lot of the danger and require less staff to operate the races with only 2 cars on the track at a time. they could add on to that and make it into for an open tournament to select who gets added into the main race, or it could just be like a separate unlimited tournament deal with neighbor as an example. maybe get ford to sponsor it thru vaughn or somethin to put up some prize money and get some bigger drivers, builders and tuners out there to promote
i would just like to see more big names, a big audience, bigger production value, maybe some qualifying, some higher stakes to compete for, and just a little more freedom with the rigs to make regulated minor changes, mild tuning, or better visual mods.

I'm 20 minutes into the full race and I think this might be the best sporting event I've ever watched. Just incredible seeing some guys bust their buttons and live the dream and it being truly about friendship and the love of the sport. Really incredible guys.

Yes, just some kind of light on the roof to let us/them know. To those saying to use sounds: have you ever been to a race track? Additional sirens will mean nothing over the sounds of the engines, let alone- how would you know who was using it by the sound? You would just end up with a droning honk layered into pounding engines that are louder than you really thought they were for real, like, I have to cover my ears now loud. Whereas a light on the roof you look and say "hey that driver is using nitrous" and the noise is as it was before the idea of adding random horns to racing was posited.

In my 50s, work at a bank, suit tie, the whole 9 yards and this was the best racing I've seen in years. F1, Nascar, etc have all lost the plot. Everyone can relate to getting a bunch of ex-cap cars and hanging it out with their mates. Massive success. Nascar should take notes.

Was an entertaining race considering there were many restrictions on the event. Having a full crowd next time will be awesome, but I think someone forget to mention Taylor Rays effort. That bloke did a solid job and didn't have a working nitrous system. I think you lads should grab all the footage and create a movie. This is grassroots racing, in my opinion the very best of all motorsports. Thanks for putting on the show
This was the only time I've ever done a pay per view as I'd never thought anything was really worth it before. My two other room mates and I watched the race together and to us it was just like a real race because it WAS a REAL RACE! You guys all of you didn't go it acting like it was only a joke even though everyone was there to have a good time and hang with friends both old and new. It was REAL competition! We loved it! We were a bit confused towards the end when Cleetus had to re-win the race after already winning it LOL. I hope you get a few different youtuber car guys in the next one as I think there are a few that would be great to have and to include. EG: Vice Grip Garage, Deboss, and the one that will probably never come "ZIPTIES N BIAS PLIES" for a real Canadian Alberta boy feel! Or Maybe "Cold War Motors". Love it all and thank you!

The broadcast wasnt perfect, the comentators sound was the worst part, breaking up. I think they were minor issues overall, the production was actually decent, we knew what was happening for the most part.

I work in field production. I think they did a damn good job. They had to change the date which is like the worse thing that can happen to a planned live production and they still made it happen. They actually made it through the whole race live and thats impressive. I cant wait to see how they improve it under regular circumstances. I would love to work on the production crew for the next one.
I agree with the odd sound issues. Also a chat would have made the event that much better. A live chat would have let us let production know of any issues and let us hype the race up
A change suggestion for the next race: Driver name required on the back of the car. Makes it easy for all drivers to know who they see. It also helps those of us watching keep track.

The PPV for this was the first thing I ever bought from Cleetus I've been watching for a couple years and decided it was time to put some support forward and I was NOT disappointed. Me and my little brothers watched the entire thing start to finish and I will either attend the next one if its in person applicable or will be buying the PPV.

I own a 2008 CVPI. Bought it for $1033.51. It met a K-rail at highway speeds on the way home from college late 2018. I then drove it home, bent rear wheel and all. $88 for an OEM wheel later, and it's been on the road ever since. Now she looks like a Freedom 500 tribute car, and I'm honestly proud of it.

We rented & watched the race. I’m a long-time Nascar fan. I absolutely loved the event. The fact that you put on what no one else could do right now, on the fly, a day early. Thank God no one was hurt. So fun! You’re the man! It was epic! Why the hell wasn’t it on ESPN?!
Honestly that museum deal is an awesome idea, and every car that wins the freedom 500 gets a place in the fleet, drivers name, fastest lap, all that cool stuff. I'd come out to florida for a tour of that when we're all old men someday.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the production value was down... But let's be real here, had to move the race up 24hrs, had to cut the crew down to almost nothing. The race was epic, I would gladly pay again for the same experience. Thank you for dealing with all the BS and making it happen.

Audio is almost always to toughest part to wing in that kind of a situation. I was cringing at the sound quality of the announcer's feed, but they did ok considering the limitations thay had.
Spencer did a great job, I can't tell you how pleased I was when he started calling out car numbers instead of just drivers and didn't scream into the mic every time something strange happened on the track. Calling the numbers helped most of us keep things straight though, Pro Tip: The inside car on restarts is the first place car! (not that I yelled that at the screen several times hehe)

I've seen restarts done several ways. My personal favorite is leader up front, then 2nd place gets to pick inside or outside and everyone else falls in. On multiple back to back restarts where they just can't keep off of each other, single file restart.
You need to have some stencils made for repainting the wall logos, after events. It'll make things much easier to fix.
freedom 500 was the best thing to watch on any channel that night. nothing else even came close. I felt guilty enjoying myself so much during a pandemic. a trip to the freedom factory is officially on my bucket list..

In football back in high school coach said if we throw our helmet we're done for the game. It's all about good sportsmanship. In Taylor Rays video he talks about having fun driving hard but also playing clean and not purposely spinning someone. It's racing not a demolition derby! Lol

I think that entrance to the track needs some kind of safety gate. Imagine if someone would have been pushed a little bit and went head on into that gap in the wall, that's a crash with a high risk of death.
That's pretty much what happened to the owner of the dragstrip (can't think of his name rn). It was convenient for cars to leave the track through there during the race but I agree it's probably the most dangerous spot

I gotta be honest I did NOT expect to be as hyped by the end of that race as I was. Even got the girlfriend to watch it on the big screen with me. We were both out of our seats by that last lap cheering for you Cleet, worth every penny and can't wait to see one in person.
Same! It fluctuated here and there but it was great for what it was, they really tried. My misses who doesnt watch cleetus was peaking over my shoulder here and there but 75 laps in i noticed she quit her show and was full attentive -- and goddamn we were both on the edge of our seats at the end!
My 3 cents....I’m a huge supporter of Cleet and what he does. There were a few times I got frustrated with the broadcast and ended up having to pay twice, however, it was BY FAR the best money I’ve ever spent. My wife doesn’t like racing or know who Cleetus is etc. and she was jumping up and down and yelling at the TV with me. That is a testament to what this is and the lines it transcended. I’d love to see it from the FF next time but if not, no matter what it costs, I will pay it and I will donate PPVs to people who cannot afford it again. I know this got long but man this was exactly what we needed when it happened and that my friends is what legends are made of. Do it for Mark. Do it for Ed. The Toy Box 110% agree with this. Spicey Spence carried the broadcast. Even with the mic issues he made it entertaining and watchable.

I think the track surface isn't good enough yet, and they aren't comfortable adjusting that chassis. But I do dream of it!
I used to work at a Ford parts warehouse. We supplied the local bubblegum shop with their upgraded drivetrain components. The cooling systems, air conditioning, and torque convertors etc. were always truck parts. I'd usually deliver a full pallet of heavy-duty torque converters every month. The dumpster behind the building was constantly full of brand new components that weren't worth saving. It was a goldmine.
Thanks Cleetus. Hell of a risk putting the show on, and then corona lockdown! Brilliant live action, when there has been NO LIVE ACTION motorsports for most of this year. Got some hot dog buns, some weiners and ketchup. Sat my dad, and my 4.5yr old and 2.5 yr old sons down to watch it, cracked a beer with my dad and at 11:30am south australian time on the Friday we watched history live! Great effort given the restrictions, and can only imagine how it would have been, full production. My boys loved that there was 21 police cars having a race! Hell yeah brother! 🦅🇦🇺🇺🇸🚓🚔
Cleetus, the Pay-for-View "Freedom 500" was worth every penny. I was glued to my tablet the entire intro and race and had a fricking blast. Laughted my ass off! Congrats on the win. I think James was out to take it all. He can drive and looked a little upset throwing his helmet when he spun out or was taken out. Cooper came out of the blue. He did great! You have to do this yearly or even sooner. Great stuff!!!!! Hell Yeah Brother!!!!
LEIF HOFFMAN Cooper is a much better driver than he gets credit for. He’s just quiet and doesn’t promote himself, not all cocky. He’s one to watch though for sure. If he gets any practice at all, he could win these things for sure. I’d love to see him win one!

Best $17.00 (AUD) I ever spent, yeah it wasn't a polished, glitch free event but I'm stoked to have supported all you guys in an epic event. The entertainment factor was awesome and see a bunch of my favorite CZcamsrs ripping it, is something to behold. Thumbs up champions. Oh and Spence did a cracking job.
I loved the race and have a few suggestions for the next one. The drone shots were incredible and you should use 2 for the next race. Wider angle lenses would pick up more of the action, there were a lot of moments something happened just out of the shot. A small box in the corner could show the entire track the whole race so we can see things happening even if the main video is focused on one car. Delay the live feed enough to switch to another camera to see the action.
I have no doubt the next one will be much improved after this corona stuff blows over but I still had such a good time watching this race!
I doubt drones were supposed to be used much. Remember most of his production got cut. I would assume there would be more over all cameras

Really the track did amazing and didn't really take much damage which is AWESOME! The racing was great, the finish was freaking FANTASTIC! Anyone who hasn't seen it will definitely be in for a treat when you upload the whole thing! Can't wait for the next Freedom event!

@@TreyCook21 Pretty sure it's the guy from Homemade Everything - he died of cancer about 2 weeks ago now. I'm not real deep into this whole community, but he seemed like a really cool guy. He was handling all of it like a damn champ, acknowledging things realistically and still cracking jokes and stuff. His wife is carrying on far better than one might expect, too. So yeah, Do it for Mark is a pretty cool byline.
@@TreyCook21 Mark was Matt from Demolition Ranch/Off the Ranch/Vet Ranch bigger brother. He passed away recently after fighting a terminal cancer for a while. Matt was supossed to be racing in the Freedom 500, but decided to spend some time with his familly instead.
@@charlespierro8048 Just adding on to this, the community might know him as the brother of Demolition Ranch. Matt (Demo Ranch) was planning on racing in the FF500 until Mark died.
Please don't read me wrong, Mark was certainly a capable CZcams presence on his own. His dealing with his cancer and situation was nothing short of heroic.
Matt from Off The Ranch was supposed to take part but his brother lost his battle with Cancer 2 weeks before the race Mark would absolutely have loved to be there nice for Cleetus to do
