God that's is very very amazing
Cool
É um trompete ou um cornet
That last F is completely ridiculous. To get a cornet to sound like that, escpecially up there... mad respect for his talent!
It’s because he plays jazz. High notes are essential and jazz.
@@Himothy4269as a jazz trumpet player, yes😂
Last tone is E♭.
@@user-kz2ok3ox3otrumpet f
@@user-kz2ok3ox3oI think he meant in Bb not concert pitch
Wynton is absolutely goated, it’s crazy to think that now he’s an absolute master when it comes to jazz but you look back and realize he was a masterful classical player as well, absolutely amazing!
Won a Grammy for classical and jazz in the same year! 🤯
Jaz is literally in his blood
He was only like 22 years old Here as well. Insane 🤯
Bro just jumps to that high D like it’s nothing
That’s an F. Count from double C
nah the D in the shred before the end
@@coloncontent6454the one in the beginning
@@tired108That’s not an F though
@@_Levi393 thats an f im 10000% sure
Young wynton with the big 80’s spectacles. A splendid sight
Fr imo he looks better this way
You're forgetting his lil ass afro
Wynton Marsalis a greath example for all musicians, trumpet players, no mather Styles.
The articulation and range - impressive. Can't imagine the hours needed to master that.
That F absolutely blew me away. Anyone who doesn’t play trumpet/cornet may think it was cool and all, but anyone who does play trumpet/cornet will realize how rediculously hard it is and how much work it takes to play that high while having amazing tone like that. Wynton is insane and deserves any and all credit thrown at him.
As technically difficult as that excerpt is, the most impressive part is how he nailed the high F at the end like it was absolutely no big deal. What a legend.
I find the huge jump to the high D in measure 4 to be just as if not more impressive.
Honestly, to me the greatest thing about this clip is.how long he plays so well with such consistency on one breath. I was trying to see if he was circular breathing, but i did not see any puffing of his cheeks. Insane.
The high D in the middle is cool. Nice arrangement.
Hit it effortlessly too, wow!
My, oh, my! My life just got a little better!
Watched him at the NOLA Jazz festival many times! Great!
Played the snare drum part for this in my college wind ensemble, it was a blast to sit back and watch the trumpet soloist go crazy
I have this CD, and the whole thing is just as impressive. 10/10, would recommend.
That is the biggest cornet I have ever seen.
Is that the greatest living human today John Williams conducting?
Never thought I'd see them on the same stage lol
The Man
A Master at work
So wonderful people seem to be rediscovering Wynton's classical rep recordings
My first Inspiration 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🏆
Wynton, you are my Corneting Idol.
Wynton the goat . MY EARS CAN'T GET OVER I'T🎉
I remember the first time my trumpet teacher played that that fast. Absolutely flabbergasted.
Love it! ❤🎺
I was the top trumpet player in North Texas in the 9th grade. I was first in the state in 12th grade.
Full music scholarship offers from multiple universities (went to UT at Austin for music).
I have played for the symphony, for Doc Severensen, with professional jazz orchestras, as a professional studio musician, and even with the Barnum & Bailey circus.
And after all that, I STILL can't play the last movement of Carnival of Venice worth a crap.
There might be a few hundred people on earth who can play this, myself included. But you can probably count on one hand the number of people who can truly do it well.
Even though my entire focus has always been on technical playing and tone, I am not one of them.
Al Hirt said you aren't a real trumpet player until you can play this. I guess I'll never be a real trumpet player. And honestly, as much as i love what he does, Al doesn't play it very well either compared to Winton.
Winton is the Michael Jordan of trumpet players. Not even my idol, Doc, did it with such a flawless tone.
Superb.
He did that young folks!😅
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.
OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE !!!!!
Back in the day🫡
Wow
The Tunging 💀
Sin duda el mejor lejos
Seeing him preform live tonight!
What a talent!
Gustavo fring playing the trumpet better than everyone else
SURREAL❤
Wow
I never knew wynton played classical too he really is the final boss
F is amazing 👏
Yes, mind-blowing!
Just ordered an Arban’s this week after not playing for 15yrs. Super excited to skip right to the end and not be able to play this. 😂
👏👏👏. Hell yeah
I got the 1983 ECO Ray Leopard recordings which are top notch . He run out of breath on this one but its an ambitious renditions he and Nakariakov could pull off most if the time
Just awesome
grand master
Nice
This shit still crazy🔥🔥🔥🔥
Classic
Unbelievable!
I’m now fully convinced that Wynton is the best trumpet player of all time. Everyone knows he’s really good at jazz, but I didn’t know that he ever played classical.
Maravilhoso.
Impressionnant
Breaking Bad's Gustavo Fring??
Mooi
Gus before Breaking Bad goes crazy
ウィントンマルサリスうますぎる

Невероятно!Вот это класс игры!
GOAT
John williams on batton?
超鬼!
Ok I’ve played this exact part on alto but on trumpet Oml that must be extremely difficult
No sabía que Will Smith tocaba la trompeta 🎺 😂😂
Anyone who tells you that you can't use the pinky ring because of "finger dexterity impairment" has been proven wrong
But he used it like, 3 times throughout the entire piece
これ大学の時同級生がやってたな。大変そうだった。
Way better classical player than jazz
How in the Hell
It's hard enough without adding notes!
Who let Jordan Poole cook
I can actually do that.
listen sergei nakariakov version, u will never come back
Just ok
How do you even count 32nd notes in 6 8 time
1 e and a 2 e and a and so on through 6
I can literally hear all the spit😭
Gus Fring???
流石はマーサリスだな
Нижние ноты не прозвучиваются!😅 Бывало и лучше.😅
Those were the days when Wynton was kicked off stage by Miles decades ago. 😂😂😂
LA MUSICA QUE SE ESTA TOCANDO
NO ES PARA TROMPETISTAS ESCUCHE
ES PARA EL PUBLICO
QUE NI SIWUIETA SE IMAGINAN
ESE SONODO
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
SOY TROMPETISTA Y ME CANSO DE TOCAR ESE F TODOS LOS DIAS
😂😂😂😂😂
ESO ES MUSICA PARA EXPECTADOR PARA EL QUE VIENE A DISTRAERSE Y RELAJARSE
A little too fast. It would be more virtuous if it was a tad slower and therefore more controlled.
It would be more comprehensible but it would just sound weird, like a difficult flexibility exercise rather than axtual music.
How does one learn this knowledge...? Remember learning to walk is no different than playing trumpet, now go practice couch potatoes. xD
ITS NOT THAT HARD JUST PRACTICE 100 YEARS
Technique 10, classical music 0
Guess I'm a horrible person. I see passages like this and it's not about the music or an experience... it's about showing off and glorifying a performer's ego. Music is a vehicle for many things, but when it's corrupted into making money or fame rather than making someone rethink or refeel something? That's when it's not music, it's a tool. This is no different than the myriad pop stars using music as an excuse to worship themselves or be little more than animals onstage. This is no different than a teen learning three guitar chords and trying to seduce their crush. It's not about making music or telling a story, instead it's all about ego and corrupting music to get attention.
even though the original trumpet version was arranged during the 19th century?
@@kuuroh3266 The human ego is as old as the species. Anything used to prop up an ego rather than serve a purpose is by definition selfish.
I think you need to do a bit of research in the development of the capabilities of the instruments. Piano, violin, all woodwind and brass instruments. Particularly at the end on the 19th century. Even harp ! It is not about ego. Composers of new pieces were taking advantage of those new capabilities. On the other hand, a concerto is meant to DISPLAY stamina, skills, virtuosity. If not, what is it ? Shall we appreciate only lullabies ?
Sloppy compared to Sergei.
Virtuos!!!!❤
Winton is very good, but if you want to hear the beat performance of this listen to Herbert Clarke play this. He was the principal for Sousa band and the WAX CYLINDER recirding he did of his arraingement of Carnival of Venice makes wveryine else look like rank amateurs
Until you can play at this level of excellence. You need to keep your opinions to yourself!
