I just watched this twice, and my anger has quadrupled. This horse has zero rhythm. It is bad training plsin and simple. If FEI doesn't start addressing this issue, they won't have a sport to care about. People will not stand for abuse of horses. I know I won't

Dressage is an art. The problem is making it a sport when it becomes a club the reserve for the super wealthy and nothing more than an arena for them to show off in.

His piaffe is destroyed. Gio resisting ? Her boyfriend is Alexander Helgstrand. What have these people been up to at home. Annabella sits badly on a horse for starters. This is sad.

Buying a 'Made" horse does not a Rider make! Shame about this talented little little horse going downhill so quickly!! He was such a flowing good mover and this clip looks like a different horse.

Horse looks scared or fearful. Wonder why🙄 you can tell there was abuse in this horses “training”.

Every time anyone criticizes this girl's riding there are people who defend her saying she is young etc etc. However, her mother buys her ready made top horses, which are trained by others and given back to her to compete, and this is the problem. She is very heavy handed and not a natural horsewoman like Charlotte is. A lot of people feared for Gio when he was sold and this has proved the fears to be correct. It is heartbreaking. Why can't she learn from the experience of producing young or novice horses herself and bringing them through the levels rather than trying to achieve success from others hard work?

Why did Charlotte Dujardin sell her Pumkin to that rich girl? To make money.

Piaffe should be with out moving, it’s very poor, too bad she ruined an Olympic medaled horse ! Thank u for your courage in exposing the abuse of horses and how it is not only cruel but how it ruins them!

Charlotte Dujardin was there for coaching but does it work after horse abuse at home?

Poor pony! He doesn’t deserve that.

Okay now i have watched the whole video of the test. I thought he was resisting in the clip but it was a spook at something. The rest of the test went alright. His piaffe is not good, tension in the walk. She has jerky hands and sits on top of her horse instead of well down in the saddle. A month without stirrups would help. Gio is somewhat agitated in his mouth. She is not capable of getting the magic Charlotte did. As dressage Hub said buying olympic horses will not guarantee the same success.

Dressage has become too painful for me to watch. It’s too severe and abusive to the horse.

Yep, it has reached a point where only thing I can stand to watch is amateur level Endurance 😮

Okay some mistakes happen, fine, but the problem is the same test with another rider who has a less famous horse/coach would've scored much lower.

  • @trevinize

Why change a horse that does everything? The horse is running out of breath and has no space to move with those hands. Didn't the rider saw the videos with Charlotte. It's to late, a Thousand times are not enough.

Also watch Hans Peter Minderhoud. Terrible riding with open mouth and permanent tail swifting.

When you know a robot would ride the horse better you know you've got a problem.

These are just my assumptions. The piaffe is just nervous steps and nothing more, no movement in the horses tail, even when the rest of the body is screaming tensed and stressed, which is weird to say the least. The rider is moving against the horse, like she’s yelling at the horse; “don’t ruin this for me you beast!”. Then the obvious blow up, which speaks for it self.

She's just not the rider Charlotte is and this sport is not as easy as it looks.

What are her "unconventional training methods", specifically?

I'm not trying to be critical but some people who aren't educated don't understand this. Moving during the piaffe for example.
It would be helpful to do a comparison video showcasing the difference in the horse since he's now with a different rider.
Just a suggestion. Not criticizing. I know you bust your ass to get information out.
If you've already done a video my apologies as I'm kinda new here.😬
    I do love 💞 your Channel!🤩😍💖🤘

I do comparison videos on occasion. But usually pro to pro. I don't think there is much comparison on pumpkin.
