My grandfather, Holman Bagley was born and raised in Lubec, and my great grandfather, Chapman and great great grandfather Arthur Alphonso [Bagley] also lived there. I visited for the first time in 1971, and can almost hear the voices of my father and grandfathers as they shared their stories as I watched this amazing journey back in time. I've been back to visit many times since 71' and it's amazing to see how things have changed over the years. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Amazing Time Machine. I went to boat school in lubec in 78. Hitchhiked every mile of your drive more than once.

This video is such a treasure. I knew every bit of the drive from Ellsworth to the Lubec boat ramp. And recognize quite a few folks in Lubec. The scenes at McCurdy's and Peacocks are just amazing.

I moved to Lubec a year ago, and it's fascinating to see how much it's changed and yet how much it's the same. I love this town.

My great grandfather Jacob and grandfather Morton Mabee were the town pharmacists. I went to school there until third grade, then returned for 10th grade in 1969. I spent every summer there reading every comic book in their drug store. As a teen I hung out, like everyone else, at the corner Rexall or Stewarts Bowling Alley and went to the dances at the Twin Spruces.

Wondered up that way in 70’s after graduating from Maine Maritime Academy and newly married to an island girl. Still in Maine, still married, still working at sea. Never considered.leaving. Enjoyed the video.

Thank you so much for this treasure! It chronicles my hometown during the era of my growing up years. So many memories. I am actually in this video, picking up sardines from the packers at Peacock's. Do you have any idea where I could get a good copy of this?
