    The Baseus "Metal Age" is a gravity operated self clamping phone holder for your car. Beside being simple to use it provides very good quality build and materials all along with being very cheap.

    I bought the support that is fixed in the CD slot, and it is a bit noisy with vibrations, you have to put the cell phone to reduce the noise

    Hi, nice review. What's your phone? I ask because Baseus specs say that this holder is compatible from 4-6 inches phones.

      That is a rather large Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 with an added silicone case cover making it even bigger. Also works with Xiaomi Mi8

    Is the clip strong enough to hold a phone securely when it is mounted onto a VERTICAL aircon vent instead of a horizontal one like in this video?

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  Před 2 lety +1

      The clips is OK but it might still slide if you have lot's of bumps.

    If the car goes over a bump could the phone bounce up and fall out?

    hey would a 14 pro max fit in this? Please I need an answer beacuse I am about to buy one

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  Před rokem

      I don't have a 14 pro max to test, I have no idea if it fits. I think that you can find the specs on the link that I have put in the video description. I should show maximum supported size.

    The holder does not stay in position as the weight of the phone causes the holder to drop down.

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  Před 4 lety

      It has an ajustable ball joint, just make it more tight and it will no longer drop.

    • @s.h.1095
      @s.h.1095 Před 4 lety

      And if it does still drop after tightening up slide a bit of paper in where the ball goes keeps it even more stable.

    Is it just me or does this Baseus gravity phone holder actually feel like plastic rather than aluminium as they claim?

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  Před rokem

      Well it has to be light, otherwise it will break away the vents.

    • @dylanloo9856
      @dylanloo9856 Před rokem +1

      @@TechTronic9000 Yea that's true, but I'm just pointing out that it's not aluminium like they claimed. Idm them using plastic, as long as it's good quality. They just need to be truthful in their claims. Aluminium itself is a pretty light metal anyway.

    • @Dizzle4shizzle1337
      @Dizzle4shizzle1337 Před rokem

      @@dylanloo9856 mine is aluminium. The ball joint and subsequent locking mechanisms are plastic but the main body and the 'gravity' mechanism are aluminium for sure.

    • @dylanloo9856
      @dylanloo9856 Před rokem

      @@Dizzle4shizzle1337 R u 100% sure? Coz I'm pretty sure mine is a 100% authentic Baseus product and don't think they make a different version of this car phone holder that is plastic or aluminium. It looks aluminium coz of the "brushed" paint finish on the main body (the part where the back of the phone rests on) and the arms, but when I feel it and tap it, it definitely screams plastic to me. The only metal part of this phone holder that I know of is the spring inside that controls the gravity mechanism and probably a few screws.
