  • Do you ever stare at a blank page and wonder how the heck to start ADDING things to it?! This applies to both junk journaling, where you need to decide what pages to incorporate into your signatures (signature=a group of pages that are folded and nested together) and even scrapbook layouts where you need to decide what elements to add to the base scrapbook paper!
    In this video, I am sharing the process I use for making these decisions and an example of it in action in the handmade junk planner I just made! Video tutorial for the junk planner is right here! • DIY Junk Planner! Mak...

    Beautiful Amy! I love your style, you have me hooked on 50's and 60's style. I have alway's been more victorian in my style of everything, lol but this style seems more like freestyling easy flowing .of course as you age what becomes vintage changes. I love this new style , I'm so glad I found you ! ❤❤❤

      Oh, thank you for your sweet comment, Ann!! I love how you described this style as freestyling and flowing! I would agree! I think I am drawn to the sweetness and sort of innocence and joyfulness of those eras-- at least as far as how illustrations and design were then! So glad to have you following along!! 🤗💕💖💕💖💕

    Please please do a video sharing your garden book note taking journal. I have that exact book. I keep starting to make it into something else and losing my nerve lol. As a beginner in the junk journal world, finding examples from other crafters is the best way to learn. Would love to see it! 🤓

      Hi Karma! Thank you for your comment! I will at least include it in an upcoming video! I really am not going to do much to it! I covered the inside front and back covers with scrapbook paper and made a couple dividers with scrapbook paper (just like I did here) and just filled it with trimmed down loose leaf paper (after removing the original pages)! I'm keeping that one really simple bc it's just for writing notes in. Are you on Instagram? I did show how I covered the inside covers with scrapbook paper on that binder on my IG. I'm at kittywittypapercraft on IG! Good luck with yours!! Go for it!! 🤗💖💖💖💖

    Such fun pages...love the colors. Are catalog model cut outs available to purchase anywhere?

    • @KittywittyPapercraft
      @KittywittyPapercraft  Před 4 lety

      Thank you!! Unfortunately the illustrations from sewing pattern catalogs and pattern envelopes are still owned by the companies that made them...all the major pattern companies still exist, although they all now belong to one parent company. Those illustrations are copyrighted, so copies--whether paper or digital printables are illegal. You can still find them on Etsy, but they technically aren't legal. The ones I use are ones I've cut out of catalogs and pattern envelopes. I sure wish we could buy them as printables! Thanks for stopping by!! 🤗💕💕💖💕💕

    What do you recommend if you mainly have printed (i.e, one-sided) or store-bought one-sided scrapbook paper? Do you glue another one to its back? Or turn the backs into things like pocket pages (to help add bulk/weight too)? Thanks!

    • @KittywittyPapercraft
      @KittywittyPapercraft  Před 3 lety

      Hi! I like to use the back side of single sided papers (the white side) to add pockets as you said, or use stickers, washi tape, die cuts, etc to create a design or title or something like that on it. I find adding another paper on top to be really tricky. Double sided tape is probably best if you do want to do that and it will thicken it up, especially if you are making dividers like in this project. In a regular junk journal, it's actually kind of nice to have the thinner pages bc you can add lots of embellishments throughout the journal and it doesn't get too bulky too fast! Hope that helps!! 🤗💗💗💗💗

    Hello love your pages :) Can you tell me what the hole punch thingy is called? I would love to buy one. Thanks

      @KittywittyPapercraft  Před 4 lety

      Thank you, Tanya!! The hole punch is a 1/4" round hole punch. You can get them on Amazon or any craft or office supply store. I think I linked to the exact one I have in the description box! Thank you for your question! 🤗💕💖💕💖💕
