While scrolling though his social media, the L.A. BEAST saw a post about a RARE 1970's Andre The Giant rookie card that just sold at auction for thousands of dollars. Intrigued, the L.A. BEAST started to do more research if there were any other valuable old wrestling cards, and to his amazement, there are, but not many have been found and or professionally graded (which can make them more valuable in the long term). Realizing that the "old school" WWF sports card market is under appreciated, the beast started scooping up old packs of cards, to hopefully land some Mint Condition rookies of "WWF Legends Past" such as The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior, Yokozuna and more....

@@GabeCastle Yeah, he also can't say that, because inadvertently, or, otherwise, that's market manipulation. It's the same as creating fake demand, it's not uncommon CZcamsrs artificially inflate the market, using their status. It happens all the time in the retro gaming community, recently Dennis Kahn got into a whole world of heat for doing something of that nature. Creating hype around something, saying that it's "worth this amount" etc. Now, I'm not saying LA. Beast is trying to act in a fraudulent manner by any means, the point I'm making is that you have to be careful with what you say in these situations, because there are a lot of risks. One might start selling their $10 card for $20, cos they might think someone will pay that in future, then you have 8 other people with the same card, same grade, they do the same thing, then it depreciates the value of that first person who thought along those lines due to first person setting that price range. Then you get subsequent actions like FOMO, or Fear Of Missing Out, people will start frenzy buying cards, getting them graded in hope to cash in, the market gets flooded, the rarity, and value become redundant. That's the point I was making

As a young girl who absolutely loved pro wrestling back in the 80's and 90's it was difficult to be able to enjoy my passion without a lot of push back by my mother. After leaving home she gave away my wrestling collection. It still breaks my heart. I must have had hundreds of these cards. I need to buy some of my favorites. Bitter sweet watching this. Thank you Beast, love these types of videos. Because of them I finally mustered the courage to go through all of my grandpa's and uncle's old sports cards. Mostly baseball cards from throughout the years but also some basketball and football cards. Going through all of them very carefully getting all the best picks sleeved up. One day when I can afford to do so I will get them graded. A good amount of vintage Pokémon cards from my childhood too.
Also, I wanted to say my condolences on the gum stain on the Hulk Hogan card. I personally never understood why they put gum inside of collectible card packs. It's also WILD that you were the first person ever to record gem mint 10s on those two cards at the end.

Really appreciate all the research you did for this video, and it's amazing to see that you are also buying cards as well. The Hulk Hogan card with the gum staining with the grade it got gives it character and gives it uniqueness. Another thing if you want to check out old tobacco wrestling cards from the 1910s to 1930s they are really dope and surprisingly really cheap. Thanks Beast!

on the Andre rookie card that graded as a 1, you'd be surprised by the price on those PSA 1 graded cards... sometimes that makes them more collectible than a 2, 3, etc. sweet video man!
I feel like Razor Ramon has been consistently underrated. He was such a unique sleezy heel. I've seen a few memes with him recently. He's overdue for a price bump.
That gum was awesome back then. Loved opening my cards with a jaw full of gum. That gum stain makes it better to me. I was born in 79 making me feel old

Awesome grades on the chromium cards! That is my favorite WWF set of all time. I have 10 complete sets of them. I am going to get some of the cards graded now. I hope you do more content with wrestling cards in the future.

Awesome Kev! I've got a few of the Andre and Hulk cards too, I really do think they are a good investment. My biggest investments in cards over the past few years were a lot of Luka Doncic and Patrick Mahomes rookie cards when they first started playing and I had to buy a safe for them because of how much those went up in value lol. I'm thinking about selling some of them soon and buying some real estate with the money. It's pretty wild what these little pieces of cardboard and a hobby I started as a kid buying wax packs at the grocery store for less than a dollar have turned into. 👍

Gotta be the most popular youtuber that collects cards. I have a hogan rookie auto but its a reprint. I bought it on pristine for 50 bucks 2 years ago and now it's worth 150 but I cant play in the big boy market like you

As a kid i loved the classic wrestling figures! My favorites are the ones from early 2000 that can bend and move in different ways! I had the whole set with the ring and weapons and it was a blast! Thank you beast for bring back memories! Much love brother!

my advice to you, as somebody who is a collector of vintage toys, is to put these away and actually try to "forget" about them. I think you chose a good investment. Just don't even worry about selling em yet in my opinion. Hold on to them and store them away for now.

1985 topps WWF set was called the "pubic hair set" growing up because multiple cards show pubic hair. Yes, we looked. There an an Orndorff card giving a piledriver.... look it up, you'll see.

I have a ton of old WCW cards. The Steiner brothers were my favorite, but, being a teenage boy when I got 'em the Missy Hyatt cards were my clear favorite.

It’s funny that I just saw your video (late) after I found two rookie hockey cards: Mario Lemieux and Wayne Gretzky. It would be nice to be an independent card grader for these companies. I’d love to go around card shops and do so on weekends.

As far as grading goes, it's always good to look at the recently sold prices of 8, 9 & 10 grades are. That way you don't send in any cards that will be a loss after grading. I know for your video, it was fine, but just a heads up to anyone reading the comments.
I definitely took some losses (especially with the more popular Hogan cards)
I’ve been collecting sports memorabilia for 5 decades. I have the highest graded Ken Stabler collection on the Planet. I also collect the lower grades…if it’s not a 10, I’m happy if it looks good just being a 4,lol.
These LA Beast videos are always graded a perfect 10

Lot of great cards here! Damn that gum on the Hogan card lol. I agree with most of the pricing. Like that Chyna card, there really aren't a lot of Chyna cards out there, let alone graded, let alone a 10 of any of them. So you never know! By the way, PSA 1 is sometimes the 2nd or 3rd highest valued grade cause of extreme rarity, they dont like giving 1's! As someone who never 'wins' anything, been a fan of the LA Beast for several years, loves wrestling and actually collects graded cards but has no wrestling ones, this is the coolest givaway ever! May the force be with you all. Is that totally corny to say? Good luck everyone though, hope someone who's also watched LA Beast for a while and loves wrestling wins!

You should try to get your hands on "Rocco!" He was the Road Warrior's / LOD's greatest failure ... but he could turn out to be your greatest financial success! Rocco was found in the remains of a torn down building on a construction site ... so don't worry about his "pristine condition!"
