L.A. BEAST is no stranger to consuming food and drink that are well past their prime expiration dates. From 20 year old Crystal Pepsi's, to 25 year old bags of Doritos...if its from his childhood, the L.A. BEAST is trying it. One drink that L.A. BEAST has not forgotten about is JOLT COLA. With their slogan being "All the sugar & Twice The Caffeine", back in 1996 when Beast was in 6th grade, he was no stranger to getting amped up on some caffeine at the age of 12....And here today at the age of 39, the L.A. BEAST plans on showing scientifically that even after years past an expiration date, energy drinks and caffeinated sodas and colas may go flat, but they do not lose their caffeine potency. L.A. BEAST's plan for the day is to Chug down a 15 year old Jolt Cola (which will hopefully inject Twice The Caffeine into his blood stream) & then he plans on running his fastest MILE in recent history. Anywhere around or below the 7 min mark (as a 270 pound) man is his goal.

However, mathematically, other than the extra 13 seconds, for every second that he ran under 10 MPH he would have had to run proportionately faster than 10MPH for equal time or his total time would have been longer. So more or less, yes he did.

@@LABEASTnothing against you but your pace looks kinda unreal and I have already noticed that last august in your whole month challenge. Obviously you aren't lying but I had also problems with the nike app. I have a significant advantage while running as I am probably half your weight und just pure on your legs swings at what looks like a siminular steps per minute as I do, I should be faster. But my nike app shows me a 5-6 minute time per Kilometer, around 9 per mile I guess.
On a threadmill my pace was tested as 5min/km.
I don't know but mightily impressive if the app really is correct considering your not so good form (no front😂).

I loved this video, the scenery of the field you jogged the mile around, for some reason, made me think of my life in the late 90's and early 2000's. Could of been the cola lol maybe the arm bands.... I really enjoy your edits, the voice overs are hilarious and seeing you do the mile really made me reflect on myself, I need to get back into exercising on a daily basis. I don't know if it is how this country has been going or the possibility that I'm letting technology control my life...(probably both). I'll say this, watching you put in the extra effort to get out there and push yourself is the motivation I needed to see. I thank you for your time and skills to put this video together and share some history with us at the same time, creating some. I use my hypoxic breathing machine which allows me to breathe in air as if I was on a 13,000 foot mountain. It allows me to carry more oxygen throughout my body when running at sea level and I don’t get tired….been using it and training since 2015. I usually get in 2-3 10 mile walks/runs a week on top of 3 days weight training at the gym. It is 100% possible for larger people like myself to run 6min to 6min 30 second miles…I’ll have to redo this in more official settings

I used drink Jolt cola after it came out in College. There was one particular time that I drank some and ate a king sized Hershey bar before class. Let just say I was super hyper when I presented my 36 page thesis in less than 10 minutes three times to my classmates dismay because it was going to be a part of the final exam as it was one of the thesis at had the highest grade. Quick info: Jolt has 72.5mg (or so) of caffeine. The max. amount a day for an adult is 400mg. Caffeine reaches its highest point at about 20-30 Minutes depending on the person. Just wanted to let you lads know. Have a good day!

Better than my all time best mile time 😂 I think I’ve only ran a mile 6x before in my life at age 22. 3x in 6th grade, one in 8th grade, one in freshman year HS, and once senior year HS. Best time was 6:20 and I cheated by kinda jogging on the inside of the inner track when the coaches weren’t looking 😂 so definitely kudos to Beast
