You inspire me to melt steel, blow through every panel that needs welding and generally make a huge mess...It's GREAT and I learn every time I 'make mess'. One of THE best channel on 'The Tubes'...Cheers...(from Scotland)
Malcolm that is amazing! Ha ha I absolutely love this comment because I’ve been there lol you’re right it’s the best way to learn and I’m stoked that you’re having a great time!
Get a scrap door from an old 90s car and practice. My car has over 4mt of spot weld shaving handles and taillights and decklids. Takes a Long time but it's great to say you did it all by hand yourself.

I have been working in this profession for over 30 years, I like to observe your technique, you will always surprise me with something - great respect.👏
Holy crap man those corners are amazing! Looks like it was born that way.
Thanks a lot dude!
It is so nice to see such a young and highly skilled craftsman. Great work.
Thanks a lot Ron! It’s all right now lol
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels! No BS, no blather, no boring segments. I now have a growing list of tools I "need" so I can try out some of these techniques! The skill involved in your work is humbly showcased, but in no way minimized. Thank you for making these videos and encouraging us to try things for ourselves. Fabrication has never been more approachable and charming!
Same here, there's 'magic' in this channel somehow - became my No.1 after watching 3 vids and am subscribed to hundreds of channels..
Me too...looking forward to getting a shop built so I can start playing and gathering the tools.
Fantastic work!
Masterful. 🍻😎
Thanks a lot David!
You have amazing talent not only in what you do and you have a hidden talent in how you inspire. If I was 50 years younger I would work for you for free just to learn the broad picture.
I absolutely love this channel. I could watch this all day everyday.
I’m about to start the build of a boat tailed pre war special ( speedster for you across the pond 😉). I was going to use Aluminium but after watching you Karl I’m using steel.
Please keep posting and thank you for all your tips and true craftsmanship. 👍
You are an absolute master there’s no better than you on CZcams I am hooked on all you do !
You make it look so easy, which I know it is not. The mark of a skilled man. Hats off.
Thanks a lot Stephen!!
Your metalwork just blows my mind. And the tools you used, the english wheel, the planishing hammer, you made them. What a great metalworker. Great job
Thanks a lot man I really appreciate it! I like building tools as much as like building cars
Wow man!!! You are a magician!!! Thanks for the video!!! Great craftmanship!!!
Learning so much from this bloke!!
Beautiful! Making it look easy, but you can't fool me. Great work.
This is truly art in the making!!!
Looks badass... Gotta show more of this type of work and vids...
Good motivation for my T bucket build.
Will do! Thank you
Man, you are killin' it! Just beauty work and thanks for sharing!
Amazing mastery of metal shaping technique.
Artistry in Motion.
Very nice work. Doing it right the first time makes all the difference in the world
Absolutely!
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and skills. Always I respect you as a teacher. (From Sri Lanka)
Wow that’s a new one. Greetings nalaka!!! Thanks for watching and supporting!
Wow!!,Not only are you a great craftsman.but your no nonsense approach to passing on your knowledge.you are awesome. You are also gutsy. I would have been afraid to cut a body like that. I'm not a fan of the Dubal windshield.but its refreshing to see you enjoy carrying a tradition.a craft..you are not a cookie cutter, all the same builder. Carry on.jb
Thank you so much Juan! I will continue to build cars working with Metal for my whole life there’s so much to learn! And so many cool cars to build. That’s the beauty of the custom industry, everyone can have their own taste and still respect others
Awesome as always!!
Ramble is good, we'll always take ramble, clear thinking, planning and doing is the way to go!
Yeah i talk a lot but I’m not sure what to do lol
Another awesome video 👍👍
This is so much better than watching the car shows on sky TV, at least you get to see the process Thanks Karl
You’re very welcome man! It seems like TV is not meant for the car guy lol we are too small of a demographic. They need to have so many ups and downs to keep non-car people interested in car content lol
Man that looks good!!!! Really slick looking, better than factory!!!!!
Thanks man!
Thx for taking us through the process very helpful 👍👍
You’re very welcome thanks for watching
Really nice work on the cowl and doors. I like listening to the commentary to understand why you are doing it the way you do, and you know what, it becomes obvious that s how you should do it.
Awesome I’m glad that my ramblings are making sense to you! Sometimes I don’t know what I’m saying
Gees, I am so relieved that I found your channel. No stupid monkey business just raw talent on display. At almost 70 I have the desire to learn more metal work. During these cold grey west Michigan days its nice to take a break from my projects and learn a little more about auto metal forming. T-Dub
A friend sent this link to me. Called you a Metal Magician. I think he's right! With those developed skills you must have started at a very young age. Modding your Tonka trucks. Wishing you continued success.
Wow, that is pure art. You make it look so easy to do.
Awesome work .All info always welcome .Never to old to learn new stuff .Thank you
Right on what a great attitude thanks for watching!

Не все сразу поймут что 20 минутный ролик на твоём канале это кропотливый труд нескольких суток и даже недель. Удачи дружище!
So cool to see someone show this process. Love the vids man!!!
An absolute thrill to watch! Getting so sucked into the work is a rush. The work, the filming, the music-can’t imagine how it could be better! Thank you very much ✅✅👍👍

I saw the contour gauge flash by in the intro. I forget how useful that thing is and should pull it out more often. Thanks for the reminder.
