Mailbox Skink

Skink having trouble due to slipping on the metal mailbox. I was checking my mail after a walk and saw the skink in the mailbox. I went to move the lid after a minute to help the skink but the lizard was able to get out. Beaverdam, Asheville, North Carolina, USA. August 4, 2022.

Lol. To be honest I didn't read it correctly at first and thought the same thing. A skunk in the mail box. Lol.
