What are your views on boats guys? Cheating or necessary for some situations?
Hi Simon I always take my baitboat to France to get under those willow trees 👍
Personally I hate them, and drones and deepers but, I don’t begrudge anybody using them if that’s what they want to do, we all go for different reasons, as long as I enjoy the way I catch and others enjoy what there doing it’s all good ❤
If you want to use a boat use one .Not cheating at all..
I personally think they should be used for disabled anglers who can’t cast or really struggle tbh. Bcac etc you can’t use them
@@markwatkins56 I have severe arthritis in my shoulders & arms so consistent casting. Causes problems If I couldn't use my boat I would have to give up specimen fishing . luckily the places I fish allow me to use my boat because I'm disabled

Nice one Simon, I love my Carp Royal baitboat, I find it very useful on a new lake or a new swim to quietly find a spot and bait up. I have always thought using a marker float might be more accurate and old skool but it does disturb any fish in the swim when you keep casting for ages trying to find spots. Keep the good content coming.

Great bit of kit that boat . If only my budget was big enough
It's worth the money for those the can afford it I'm excited to try the mapping feature which allows entire areas to be mapped and recorded for future sessions 😉
Also look at any sea charter boat these days or any US bass fishing from boats they all use echo sounders and well yes as they are on a boat boats its a tool you can use does not mean you will catch more than anyone else as you still need the water craft + knowing rigs and baits etc to catch just makes checking places you think would be good spots to drop a bait out quicker and cause less fuss in the water
Tools are only good in the right hands. Using a boat is just another tool and as you say you still need the skills to locate the fish etc. 👌

Never used a bait boat. Most places I fish up north are either banned or have silly rules about using them over distances. Looked at them before but wouldn't know where to start😂
I try to use mine as little as possible but some places it just makes sense especially small waters where you need stealth 😉
Be great to see how you tie that wafter rig mate, guessing you've form the D with still stripped section, strip past eye then shrink over it?

It's just the way youtube works I'm afraid even if your channel isn't monetized you still get adverts these days shame really as I agree it can ruin your viewing experience but I guess without adverts there wouldn't be a CZcams with free content for us to watch 👌

So I fish a whole heap of lakes where Boats and Bait boats are allowed but the boats are supplied per swim. The amount of times when using a bait boat or my baiting spoon I get called out for cheating by the people rowing out in boats (well normally using the electric motors) using a scope to peer into the depths and pour buckets of bait + rig. I honestly cannot see the difference between either its a tool in your tool box. As for fish finders its a bit like spotting flying birds - yep they where there a while ago does not mean they are there now.
After injuring my shoulder baldly a few year ago I can no longer cast 12+ raps and use a rod to find out what the bottom is like etc without having serious issues for the next couple of weeks so i use a bait boat with a decent sonar to check the bottom out as I used to via rod and get bait out + rig not cheating in any way its using tech to make my life easier and means I can still fish
I think it's basically the same using a manned boat or bait boat you're still using a boat to place bait and rig. Any tactic that's allowed and used correctly shouldn't be frowned upon by other anglers but unfortunately that's the way it is. I'm glad to hear a boat helps you after your injury it would be rubbish if you couldn't fish! 😊
Simon what the thingy you used to make those ground bait balls - I do some thing similar but using robin red ground bait + small mixed particles but have to roll them into balls by hand that thing looks much easier to use and way less messy :D

What’s your view of the app? I find it odd with all the gems and diamond rewards? Could be so more fluid, and more focused on the product.
It's a little different to what you'd expect isnt it but seems to work fine 👍
