I just had the pleasure of flying on the 737-9 for the first time and I usually don't care to notice much when getting on a 737 whatever for my destination, I did notice this time!
You know that camera effect they use in the movies where the camera is moving forward
while the lens zooms out to create that weird stretching of the
foreground to infinity, well that's what awaits you on the the new 900. Once I plopped myself down on the seat I noticed something else I never noticed before, get used to being up close and personal with your neighbor like never before. At 5'8" I'm not a big guy but being a little stocky I found myself rubbing arms and legs with my seatmate more than I was used to, good thing he was my type so I didn't mind much but that wont be the case 99% of the time.

Haven’t flown on United since around 2014 looking forward to flying on the 737-9.. they look very nice. I’ve been flying southwest usually.
United now offers DirecTV screens on the 739ER. I had a flight on the 739ER, and found out the day before that DirecTV was offered.

@@Aaron-ru6ld Haha I'm there now. So did you have it one yours or not? Mine doesn't say I do, it seems as though it's available on a couple versions, but not on 1, which happens to be the most common layout.

Ever since I first flew this past January, I’ve been interested in it and just wanna fly all the time. I did fly again in March. Should be flying again in December to go to Las Vegas :)

those are United's new seats, not "old continental seats"
+TXPilot has they actually are old continental seats, since newer united seats have a literature pocket at the upper part of the seat
The literature pockets may be new, but the seats themselves were installed after the merger. United had a big press release about the seats. Also notice the "United" tags on each seat. I was a frequent Continental flyer, and now a united flyer and I can promise you these were never on pre-merger Continental birds. I really do not like the direction airlines are going; removing the IFE systems for streaming. I fly legacy carriers for a reason...(well several reasons actually)

I know this response is years late but.. For airlines that have more than 189 seats on their 737-900/-MAX9 they need to have another set of doors per regulations to safely evacuate in case of emergency. So the airlines that have less than 189 seats do not have the doors installed, then just the window thing you see

Wow did you really record on your phone? How'd you get youtube to keep the quality so nice ?? mine always comes out rough when i upload xc
if you have an iPhone, go to your camera settings, and change to a desired quality, my videos are recorded on 60FPS. Also depending on what software you use to edit, make sure your settings are set to the same quality as the clips

I'd choose American 737 economy (if we are talking about their product with the Individual screens). I'll have to choose again once I actually fly on their max.

Okay that's respectable. Also, (do you/will you) use Final Cut Pro X to edit your videos?
I'm gonna get the free trial to play around with it. Really depends how well it accommodates me.
iTripReport, If you use iMovie to edit your videos, then the transition is almost seamless to Final Cut Pro X. The only thing is that, the scene where you show the point a to point b on the map, either does not exist in FCP or is really difficult to find. My suggestion is, if you don't find it in FCP, make the scene in iMovie and then export as a 1080p video.
And as far as Premiere Pro CC goes, you'd need a monthly or yearly subscription to use it and all the sound effects that the full version of FCP has, aren't in Premiere. Fortunately I have experience in both and all I have to say is that both have their learning curves and both have their strong points and weaknesses.
I feel like cattle in economy, making these seats narrow while Americans are getting fatter. Yep makes sense

I flew United on their B777-200 and they WiFi and personal E was horrible. UA might have lost me when I’m looking for comfort.
I had a flight form DC to IND, the seats were worst than these seats. I really do not recommend this airline.

One thing for sure--I am NOT paying $12 for a cheeseburger nor $4.59 for a can of Pringles! Outrageous prices! I always buy snack stuff from my local grocer chain such as honey roasted peanuts and Milano cookies at a FAR less price--the IFE issue is not a problem for me--I will catch up on reading print newspapers and magazines that I suscribe to --I'm never happy flying on a sold-out flight,feels very closed-in--first time I flew into DEN,I wondered where the mountains were,the airport is located in the middle of nowhere seemingly--beautiful view of San Diego after takeoff,I'm sure the cost of living there is sky-high,don't know how anybody can afford to live in the area
