This was great. I'm glad you went through the process of showing what wouldn't work, and why. I'd be happy to see a video about making ceiling tags that can be seen in floor plans, as I can't seem to find that anywhere. Something within a shape, as is the case for door tags and wall finish tags.
Thanks! I'll try to find a way to do that, but why would you want to see a ceiling tag in a floor plan rather than in the RCP?
@@BelindaCarr It's in the criteria for a school project! For now I've just used detail lines to draw them in, which will do if need be. I also just couldn't find the type of ceiling tags within a bubble of some kind at all though. You seem very familiar with the program.

This video is one of its kind and very clearly explained. I am just a beginner in Revit and so I had to watch it over and over again to get a grasp. But I still feel that my concepts of tags, text, text parameters, family parameters, shared parameters etc are all mixed up. Can you please upload a concept video for the same as in which parameter to use when? Consider taking a sample working drawing if you can please.

your tutorials are great, you are very good at explaining this really complex topics that seems silly but are actually complicated. thanks for sharing your knowledge it's really kind of you to do this. I wanted to asked you. If i want to do a schedule that takes in considerations this special tags that I need to create, can Revit automatically tell me exactly where they are??.. Let me put an exmaple. I have a building with different appartments on it, on any appartment i will have a kitchen a bedroom, bathroom, etc., and I need to create a schedule that tells me exactly where every family is. Is it possible???..

To tag quantities manually can suizide your reputation in the complete office and outside after changes within the model and in my opinion a NO-BIM strategy....a very high sensitive zombie-zone.

hi, i would like to create a label,it is design in a way that it has to be capture within a shape for say a circle...at the end of that shape is like an extension line attached..how do i set the label so as it moves as together with taht shape,even when i define its extension line with different lengths?

i have a 40m stair with different riser height from landing to landing. I made a tag that shows the stair name, the tread depth and the riser height. As i said the Riser height is not stable. Is there any way that i can make a tag with edditable text in it?

What about the "number"? It's important for my projects furniture or caseworks poses. For Example Bed 01, Bed 02. 03 ... etc. There are lots of bed in by project. You can do it for rooms. But when you select Casework category You can't add a label as Number 01, Num 02, 03, 04 . . .

Welcome Back Belinda, I have a question, If i have a yes/no parameter to adjust for say 100 sheets, is it possible to do it in one shot (or) by using dynamo. I guess its only possible to select one by one. Another one is the revision number, when i use the in-built revision numbering system, i dont have any other option unless i open each sheet to click it on. Please suggest some quick options. Thanks in Advance.

@@BelindaCarr for example, in sheets, we need to show north direction which would be generally a yes or no parameter as we dont want north direction to show up in sections. So how to select sheets to switch on or off the North direction

Hi Blinda, can you make a video on Revit elevation view. I have always been a problem in elevation view, some unusual lines are seen like wall, columns beams and floor's line. I don't want to show those lines in my view. How can resolve it.
Are you in wireframe instead of hidden line? Also, make sure you're in "fine" detail not "coarse".
