I think government will be careful not to create a binding precedent. refugees are still protected under the new proposed law and i agree with you that if your are a legal refugee you do pay tax and contribute to the south african economy. The new law is for addressing the issue of Undocumented foreigners and their illegal businesses in south africa.

This gov't is desperate to keep people out but they're not doing anything about the imports that have killed local industries. The Textile industry used to employ more than 50 thousand people in the Western Cape alone, it has totally collapsed because of Chinese imports that are subsidized by the Chinese gov't, this minister and his colleagues can not tackle such issues because it involves hard work so they go for easy options and populist rhetoric.

Not great for majority of SANs. Nothing unfortunate about the illegality of entry into RSA; our government aided and abetted this, hostile foreign states (including some closer to us) have exploited such unpatriotism and weaponised the influx into RSA aiming to render us unworkable for maximum exploitation. All platforms of attack against us are deployed, including all forms of media. We are infiltrated at all levels of our society. No foreign nations who don't pay tax find one foreigner who bought bread in Shoprite or Spar 15% on his shopping slip shoes paid in tax but if this foreigners were in there country they will be paid 15% in tax to their own country think wisely stop racist among yourself.

How can you compare European countries and South Africa , how can you see a Afrcan person as a foreigner in Africa country.
Instead of creating more jobs than to waste the money and government resources for deportation neighbours country.
You deport them today the second day they're coming back.
