I remember this project from back in the day. It ended up being one of my favorites because it's a "normal" house (not a multi-million dollar showplace) and they did such innovative things to it, like making the living room the master bedroom and turning the garage into the family room. Very clever - and on a budget!

Just looked at the video. Living in the home today.. and it being of the same old type of thing.
      It’s amazing .
What affordability size and 1/2 acre of property. Are worth . For one’s living assets today.

What I don't like about the modern episodes is the budgets are astronomical. This is a project I could mamage.
Sad housing and building costa are so high now. Reason? Massive immigration. Population of the USA doubled from when this program aired.

OMG! $50K for a house on a half acre and $8K for a second story! Times sure have changed. Today, the median price for a house in my city is a million dollars. I see listings for old houses like this one on a 5K SF lot for over $700K. The buyer will scrape the house and build a new larger one, then sell it for $1.2 million.

@@craig1974 Thank you! Remarkable how different the area now looks with much more tree growth and changes to the properties. I always thought Bob's end product looked unfinished on the outside and the severe economy he employed in some of the interior work did him no favors, though I suppose it was all part of the theme for this particular series. The current version looks much better.
