Relation among Young's modulus , Bulk modulus and Poisson's ratio | in HINDI | EduPoint

  • In this video in Hindi we derive the relation between Young's modulus of elasticity, Bulk modulus of elasticity and Poisson's ratio. Young's modulus of elasticity of a material is the ratio of longitudinal stress to the longitudinal strain produced in a body made of same material. Bulk modulus of elasticity is the ratio of hydrostatic stress to volumetric strain. Poisson's ratio is the ratio of lateral strain produced in a body for a certain amount of stress to the longitudinal strain produced in the same body for the same amount of stress.

    Sir you explained it very well but you explained that pressure will be not be 2P by using concept of Force but they both can't be compared as force is a vector quantity and pressure is a scalar quantity.
