It really seems like you were in need of a proper Afghan guide that could handle things like permits for you. I recently came back from Afghanistan. My guide arranged everything in advance. Once we visited each city and region, the visits to the "tourism offices" were literally no more than 5 to 10 minutes.
It wasn’t his fault, because of Eid, everything was closed and I flew right next day after I got my visa

Are you Afghan from your grandfather side only? Are you mixed with Iranian because I saw a post where you said my roots in Iran. When you speak and say Afghanistan you sound more Pakistani or Indian. A lot of Pakistanis like to pretend they are Afghan
I am mixed Pakistani Iranian and Afghan and yes I am Afghan only on my grandfathers side. I am not aware of any Pakistanis who ‘pretend’ to be Afghan or other way around, I am very proud of all my heritage on all three sides😊
