OMG....this is truly what most people who listen to his malhar says. I was never into Hindustani classical but once I heard this man I was hooked. He takes my soul to a meditative state....honestly he does! I don't know if it is his voice or the way he sings it enchants my mind and soul... It's a overwhelming feeling. I don't know how many times I found my self crying while I was listening to him. I never knew music especially shasria sangeet could have such impact on me. His untimely demise has been very difficult to accept....that it feels like a personal loss! He left a massive hole in my heart...
@@ponderingmind7861 actually what happen is, these artforms are old.. generations after generation maestros have shaped it, rebeled against norms, then crafted it.. making it a little better every time..
And what Rashid sir did is truly remarkable.. he bring it to cinema.. The audience is being broden quite a bit..
Previously sastriya sangit used to be for just a small subset of population.. so called upper caste, elits.. but now it's being democratised.. We all started this journey with film music.. i think we don't don't have to understand everything, the fact is any fine artform is beyond our full comprehension.. whatever we think of it is all ours..

Just today noticed that the greatest legendary hindustani singer Ustad Rashid Khan passed away on January . Bhimsenji once said he is the future of hindustani music. It is really sad that he was just 55 year old😢
He will always be remembered by all the music lovers... May his soul rest in peace
