NSU is my favorite HBCU drumline but I'm personally not a fan of mentioning another line at the expense of a battle that's taking place. More than likely the people who came to this battle wanted to see it and have an appreciation for this style.
Most (not all) of the SWAC drumlines sound so janky. They have a lot of dirty indistinguishable cadences. Sounds like they’re randomly beating on pots and pans. IJS
Right but this is where this suffers from. I balance heads sound dirty, not enough parts and chops being played in certain areas sounds really elementary on the quint part marching in jist so many things wrong here

Alcorn would have stood a better chance if they tuned the basses a little higher. They were drowning out the rest of the drumline.

Little by little TOP was trying to look and sound like WT. Alot more collegiate drum sections as well.
Imagine not being 100 confident in your material and seeing 10 bass drums doing 1:02 across from you after making the ground shake. LOL

I actually prefer simple marching cadences.
Norfolk State's MDFS way superior then both...go check out MD CZcams..no comparison
