    I bought the Z900. Chose it over the FZ-09. On paper The FZ-09 is the better bike for the money. After test riding both it was clear that the Z900 was the one for me. The handling, the ride and the comfort-ability won out for me.

      Jamie Franson one of the reasons I chose my z1000 over the s1000r. z1000 is the most comfortable bike I've ever had....300 mile round trip last week in one day with 2 fuel stops for 10 mins each time...

    *You really dont need traction control, or rider modes on it, it is so smooth and linear*

      @YarekBalear Před 7 lety

      Not sure - I've got the Z1000sx too and the lack of what are now basic things like traction control etc make me consider the Z900 lacking against the competition. Couldn't possibly choose this over the new Street 'R' or 'RS'.

      @spoonman73 Před 7 lety +5

      I would rather not have to pay for all of that useless crap that I have never needed especially on a bike with subpar horsepower. The price of liter bikes is outrageous these days because of it. But I came up riding in the early 90's so maybe that's just me.

    I think it’s funny people get butthurt because they like Z900 more than the MT-09 or other similar style bikes. People come in different heights and sizes, like naked bikes or loaded bikes, likes sitting in the bike or on top of the bike, like to sit up or lean over when ridding. All because the FZ-09 or MT-09 is great for you doesn’t mean it’s good for someone else. Get over yourself.

      It is bloody brilliant tho.
      I compared mt09 gsxs750 and the Z900.
      Hated the yamaha. Liked the suzy but short legs made it hard to get on and off. And the Z900 is faster, handles better and is in general bloody good for the price.
      I dont know why journos get upset about exhaust noise. It sounds excellent. Quiet but sweeeeet. Kawasaki know how to make engines.
      Im an old suzuki gsxr rider so i was internally biased to the gsxs, was trading in a yamaha cruiser, and never had a kawasaki before.
      I love mine. Love it.
      Its gentle and sweet when youre not in a hurry but goes like stink when you really decide to go. That throttle is sooooooo linear. Its perfect.

    The Z900 is very comfortable due to its low seat height. One of the most comfortable Naked bikes i have sat on. Feels like you are seating inside the bike which gives great confidence. The only other bike that feels almost as comfy, in my opinion, is the GSXS 1000. The GSXS 750 feels too tall; like you are sitting on top of the bike and not very comfy. The z900 is also lighter then the GSXS750. Both bikes have a great look and growl to its engine note.

    Cant see the point in a 900 anything when 100cc more gets you more of everything. z1000 owner myself but the first thing i see is the front calipers aint radial....thats crap in this day an age when a radial base brembo p4 buying at bulk probably costs the same as a packet of frosties. The rear shock on the zed 1000 is diabolical so im guessing theyre using the same shock. if you want a zed, get an old stock 1000 for probably the same price or, get a second hand one and save money, get a bigger, better, faster bike with a shed load of tuning options and no euro 4. The icing on the cake for the zed is the flashable ecu which unlocks even more power (severe secondary injector restrictions in 1st, 2nd and 3rd). Mine makes 148 at the back wheel with a full system air filter and drilled airbox giving r1m acceleration well into triple figures.

    • @14mpg
      @14mpg Před 7 lety +3

      Probably not. Manufacturers would have to make models specific to the uk. It's also likely the UK would introduce similar regulations anyway even outside of the EU. The US get euro 4 bikes.
      Given most people remove factory exhausts anyway I personally would worry to much about it and I see ABS as a good thing.

    • @tooresttrikie6744
      @tooresttrikie6744 Před 7 lety +1

      yeah Paris Accords and so on will more or less make it impossible to opt out of Euro and Global regulations on combustion engine technology! so whatever bike or car or indeed anything I suppose which burns fossil fuel you might want will have to follow strict guidelines! but it would be nice if we could just have one which has just an engine and normal exhaust so and so on! I guess the only way to do that is get a classic vehicle but expensive and no warranties or proper comeback with that!

    • @tommy605
      @tommy605 Před 7 lety +3

      Nope. Here in Canada, we're still getting Euro 4 regulated bikes too. The only exception I can think of offhand was the Panagale 959 under exhaust instead of the two cans you get in Europe.

      Most of the English speaking world uses that pronunciation. What drives me nuts is watching Australian reviews on 2017 bikes, and they all say "sevenneen" and not a single one said "seventeen". I wanted to reach through the screen to strangle them after about 6 reviews. Now I can't watch em anymore. Until next year.

    • @startmeup4622
      @startmeup4622 Před 5 lety

      The worst is the pronunciation of "aluminum" when it comes to the rest of the English speaking world vs Canada/USA. We here in North America pronounce it the way it should sound. People like the Brits take the "alu" and say "alley" There is no "alley in there, so I don't know where they get that from. And their "minum" always sounds like it has an extra "inum" in there. So it sounds like "alleyminuminum" lol No offence to the British, just kidding with you.

      Well, at MCN, Z900 was better.. But thats not a thing. Go and testride both of them. I liked Z so much, that i ended up buying one. MT09 is of course good bike, with monster engine, but it was so uncomfortable, that i could not imagine, to own one - upright motard style is not for me. Kawa has also bigger fuel tank and you sit deep in bike, it felt more stable than Yama, while still acted like a very light bike, for its class. It is very difficult to choose right bike today, because there are lots of options and all of them are superb !

    these bikes are great but I can't be the only one who hates the headlight look on the entire Z lineup.
    looks like the eyes of a Ninja turtle. it's terrible.
