This Fossils of Morocco circuit is a real initiation to the discovery of the memory of the earth and of life. With the discovery of fossils from southern Morocco but also rock engravings
In southern Morocco you will visit sites that reveal a marine fauna 540 million years old, a continental fauna where dinosaurs are enthroned, but you will also discover superb rock engravings revealing the presence of man in the Bronze Age. .
Geological visit to the Erfoud quarry to find orthoceras and goniatites. The Erfoud site is world famous for its cephalopod fossils. It is also exploited to supply collectors and mineral purses. Meeting with minors. In some deposits in Morocco, their size can reach more than 2 meters. Like all cephalopods, they were probably predators of crustaceans, or even small fish.
Towards the palm grove of Saf-Saf, search for pseudo-stromatolites, teeth, fossil bones, in an arable-sandy terrain. Stromatolites are rocks formed by bacteria which become encrusted thanks to sediments suspended in water. The oldest known specimens are 3.5 billion years old. One of the main interests of stromatolites is that they bring us back not far from the origin of life.

whats your the best road trip there in that country? Also which city in Morocco do you recommend for adventure and history? unseen places? I liked and commented
It depends what kind of trip you want to realize, Morocco is a country very rich in culture and nature, people are also very friendly and social, for adventures I recommend the middle regions of Morocco where there are the atlas mountains and you go south where there is the desert, the roads are good and well indicated, for cultural trips and monuments, I recommend to visit the 4 imperial cities, Fes, Meknes, Markech, Rabat, Fes is a 1200 year old city, if you need any advise don't hesitate ;)
