    Hi! Thank you so much for this tutorial sir! Do you know if there is a way for us to rotate each individual brick column on that panel at a certain angle? I want to create a facade where the brick started out normal and then the bricks as it go on, they rotate outwards gradually

    • @RVBoost
      @RVBoost  Před rokem

      You're welcome! What you want to do is possible but will need a different method (using adaptive components). I've done something similar here: czcams.com/video/UQmFmAFoLkU/video.html but of course, you'll need to make some adaptations for rotating bricks.

  • @pratyushgolchha8941

    Thats quite a simple procedure, thanks for that. While changing the value of the overhang, a brick's length changes as well. How can we avoid that? Would setting up an offset parameter from one brick to the other and another parameter for brick's length help? this way one could avoid overhang parameter.

    • @RVBoost
      @RVBoost  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for proposing another method. Sounds intersting. Have you tried it?
      Regarding the undesired change in brick length, you can edit the curtain wall's layout rule to fix it. It should work once you have a particular set of numbers for grid spacings and the overhang.

    • @pratyushgolchha8941
      @pratyushgolchha8941 Před 3 lety

      @@RVBoost Hey, yeah, I did try that method. It works fine. Now I'm trying to make different panel families with various combinations, like 3 bricks which give zigzag or '+' shaped voids. Thank you for your video, it helped me to understand the concept perfectly. 😇

    Great tutorial, just one question though. Is there any way to have these bricks adapt to different shapes in elevation? Revit seems to delete the bricks that don't fit and replace them with glass panels. Thanks.

    • @RVBoost
      @RVBoost  Před 3 lety +1

      Unfortunately, Revit can only place a custom panel family like this one into rectangular grid cells. You'll need to make sure that's the case. :(

    • @RVBoost
      @RVBoost  Před 3 lety +1

      For non-rectangular cells, you'll instead need to use massing and adaptive curtain panels. I have several other tutorials on this channel on this technique, so feel free to look them up!

    • @RVBoost

    • @RVBoost

      Oh I see. They are thinner because the grid spacing there is smaller than the rest. You should change your wall height to fit them better, or change its grid spacing ;)
