      Glad you enjoyed it. I always try to remain "grounded" in what I do so feel its always important to review airlines and classes that most people will actually fly.

    Another good vid, £35 is a decent price 👍

    easyJet has come a long way since its inception. Originally starting out with only one plane and flying only between Glasgow and London Luton. Stelios would be proud. I fly with them all the time and they rarely let me down. My only gripe is that you now have to pay for carry on luggage if it doesn’t fit under the seat infront. I also used to love watching easyJet on the show Airline

      100% I never really think about booking with them now, they are very handy and a lot of their timings are actually quiet decent these days.

    Gate 55 at Gatwick North is the domestic gates area, if I remember rightly. What a fiend you are for a cup of coffee! Thanks for another great trip report.

    £35 to travel the length of the country, when a train would set you back double if not triple that, is a very good deal.
    Used to be a big fan of EasyJet until they took away the complimentary hand luggage, now they're no different to Ryanair.

  • @armychap007
    @armychap007 Před 3 měsíci +2

    Can't argue with £35 one way- definitely beats the train in my opinion. Great report, would be nice if easyJet opened up more routes from Aberdeen in the future.

    24hrs to cancel your flight or no refund and if you need to make a change to your flight huge fees or £1000s in differential flight costs.

    Another great video sir! The ABZ flight often uses the circus of gate 55 which is always entertaining. As you witnessed, it's next door to the gate capable of handling the A380 which is generally even more entertaining. Landing on 16 with an approach over Bennachie is always a great welcome home!!

      @WorldWide_Dom  Před 4 měsíci

      100%! much better than the approach over the coast.

    Thanks for an enjoyable CZcams which is just the right length for a short domestic flight. Bargain fare (compared with LNER rail) but the fare would have been higher had you booked close to departure.

      Totally agree. That being said, this was booked in the same month as the flight.

      For me it depends on the airport, there are some I love and others I really don't like.

      My last three plane trips didn't involve an airport. Just a walk across the grass and across a pontoon onto a float equipped Cessna 208. @@WorldWide_Dom

    I’m not sure which terminal at Gatwick, but there is a Lebanese restaurant seriously worth finding. And give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the gem of a restaurant. If you have not experienced Lebanese food, you’re in for a treat, absolutely delicious. I like EasyJet as it’s the only low cost airline using nearby Inverness airport, and to be frank I think there are absolutely superb, always really nice friendly crew and what I consider to be more comfortable searing than British Airways. The onboard food is decent and not overpriced in anyway with a reasonable selection and comparable to buying food in Coop.. yeah always been really happy with EasyJet. They fly to Luton and Bristol from Inverness

    Gate 55 was / is the domestic gates area originally for British Airways and BA code share partners like Brymon. It was never originally linked to the international departure lounge and had its own security. It had a short minimum check in time too..

    Surprised how little has changed from when I last flew with them four years ago . I would fly them again if the flights were at better times from Southend but they closed the base there and are now using aircraft based mainly from abroad on the routes that have returned.

    • @EssexWolf1993
      @EssexWolf1993 Před 4 měsíci +3

      Southend is my local airport and I pretty much have a similar view, regarding EasyJet. Some of those flight times from Southend with EasyJet are pretty dodgy and not very family friendly. 😣 I have hope EasyJet will reopen a base at Southend soon, maybe next year.

    • @WorldWide_Dom
      @WorldWide_Dom  Před 4 měsíci +2

      Southend Airport is a place i would like to fly from but sadly there are very few connections with the rest of the UK so makes it a bit harder for me to get to.

    I took a trip last year where the outward leg was with Ryanair and the return with EasyJet…I spent almost as long standing at the gate for the Ryanair flight as I did sitting on the flight 😂 the EasyJet leg was much more pleasant.

    • @alexmcwhirter6611
      @alexmcwhirter6611 Před 4 měsíci +2

      Am sure many would say the same as Dom. Issue is that Ryanair, for UK domestic routes, only wants volume and airports which provide it with incentives. UK domestic aviation is a challenge for any airline.

    • @WorldWide_Dom
      @WorldWide_Dom  Před 4 měsíci +2

      @@alexmcwhirter6611Well ABZ I could see that issue for Ryanair in terms of targeting tourism, but definitely INV is undeserved for tourist going to and from the Scottish Highlands, you need only look at the EasyJet Luton and Bristol flight which are almost always full.

    • @s125ish
      @s125ish Před 4 měsíci +1

      Ryanair flew Liverpool to Aberdeen for a short while and Inverness to East Midlands. Aberdeen to Manchester didn’t even get off the ground with easyJet
