Hello everyone and welcome to the forge, In this week's episode I forge a Damascus Chef Knife for a client. The steel used in this billet is 1095 and 15n20.
That is an absolutely stunning knife. This is my favorite one that you have made so far. I have 2 of your railroad spike knives (one is a Tanto style blade) from the Etsy store you had. Would absolutely love to purchase a knife like this one please.
That is an awesome knife! And that's a really hard style to do I've been watching it and Netflix forged in fire. That stuff ain't easy to do. But so beautiful.
@@Mysticmountainforge I will definitely go back and check it out to make sure that I saw that episode. I was also wondering how much does one of those costs or do you have a store where I can look at things online? And if you do do you ship to Wisconsin?
I never done this stuff before but would like to learn. One thing I just noticed lol is the round die when elongating the billet looks like it’s used because it’s more effective at drawing out. Is that because of the round shape allows a much smaller contact point for all that pressure to work faster than a flat one where its pressure is spread out o er a greater area?
Absolutely stunning. KUDOS!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching.
Another nice little project, well done 👍
