The saying "FAFO" probably started in Alabama. Everyone is armed. Nicest people anywhere, but it doesn't take much for lead to fly. Critters, trespassers, robbers. Trust me, even grannies are armed. Sweet home Alabama. I love it here. Flood lights are forbidden in our neighborhood. It's DARK here. Near Little River National Preserve. Thousands of acres of woods.

I love in Alabama and I have some very strange things that happen at my house at night. I live in a very country area and no close neighbors. My house is surrounded by woods and it gets very dark at night. I have motion lights and every single night I will hear bumping that sounds like my trashcan lid being opened and just let go where it just drops down and bangs. I will get up and every time my side door motion light will be activated and on. One year I found a huge footprint in my garden. I have pictures of it with my foot beside it as a reference. You can see toes and all. A video you posted yesterday of a guy from California talking about an experience he had that sounds very similar to what my wife and I heard one night. I opened up my front door to smoke a cigarette and as soon as I opened the door it sounded like something was right across the road from my house that let out this very loud scream that Almost sounded feminine mixed with a howl and a owl! When the guy from California said what he heard sounded like a woman screaming and a dog mixed with an owl my jaw dropped! This is exactly what I described it as to my friends amd family. I'm just glad my wife heard it also. She was on the couch and said what the hell was that?! I said I have no idea but iver been around here my entire life and know what all the wildlife sounds like and this was nothing I have ever heard I promise! I haven't seen anything but I hear something opening my trashcan nearly every night. I'm gonna put some cameras out and see what happens. I've literally gotten to the point that when the sun go3s down and it gets really dark out, nobody in my household goes outside until it gets daylight out. I'm honestly terrified of my backyard at night which butts up to deep thick forest. Everyone I've told just brushes it off like I'm full of crap but I'm telling you something is going on here damn near on a nightly basis...Chris Domino, Southeast Alabama
