I think Ford called it Poppy Red, it was popular on the early Mustangs but in my opinion doesn't look very good on a luxury car like this. Dump the white walls and lower the rear back down. Thunderbirds were not sports cars.
@@dj33036 Yes, the paint card called it that. Poppy was not available on Lincoln and Thunderbird from what I can tell. They had Fiesta/Rangoon Red according to the chart. Of course the rest of Ford products had both. I remember those Mustangs. Of course I would have ordered all aqua interior, never cared for white seats.

Color change to an incorrect color and those hideous wide whites kill the looks of this car.
