Hi, I built the car. Mhpruitt on Fordfe.com. I really appreciate all the love. It was certainly an unusual and excessive build. I have built a few cars, but this was a personal "keeper " car. So no expense was spared. I had to give it up, incomplete in my opinion, but as shown here in 2010. It went to a t-bird collector who watched most of the original build. He passed and his degenerate son auctioned it and these folks obtained it etc. Nice video and the next owner reached out to me. It is, without a doubt the finest example of a custom 1965 bird ever built. I spent 100k plus 2500 of my own hours, not counting research and development, on this car. Absolutely zero after market parts of any kind. Half the the car is 1st of it's kind. I sold it for less than the paint cost (35k). Chrome was 10k. I polished all the stainless and installed the interior and Focal sound system. I built the dash and custom gauges and lazer lights. So, it's my bitch, and I miss her.
Yes, when we had it in primer with it stripped, I was having a few with the printer and decided to shave almost everything. The lines popped without all the advertising and earrings.
@@ericwashington1100 So, i hade to add a leaf that raised the rear to my disappointment. But, over time the little rake grew on me. The front tire profile was too low. I put 30k on that car and repaired the front rims several times. Id go 17x9 front and back with Nitto 555's. Great tires! Still the originals in that video. You Have To use a bigger sway bar in back or a 4 link. I did the sway bar but it still worked on the tires on the inside. The body flange touches. 4 link would have been better. Heavy sway bars, big sticky tires and a Really Good alignment, handled as good as my GT Mustang. True story
Very Nice ! What DOES the expression 'clean' mean ? I hear that a lot but we don't really use that expression over here in the UK. Over here, 'clean' means -not dirty. Anyway, it's a beautiful beautiful car.
Oh No thanks Dave. I am just saying, it really is a lovely looking car, but I don't think the country roads are big enough around here. No Seriously ! I live on a one track road. But yeah, Thanks and good fortune in all you do sir.
Nice car, but technically it isn't a "big block" since it (I assume) is still a 390 - the standard T Bird motor. I was expecting a 428/429....or a manual trans.
The engine is an FE Big Block that was around forever. That includes 292 Cu in, 312 Cu in, 352 Cu in, 360 Cu in, 390 Cu in, and 428 Cu In displacements. They're all the same engine block. I think the 427 is in there as well. 429/460 is a different block. In this particular car, the only engine options were 390 and 428 cu in displacements.
No mention of air conditioning? Sadly, being that starting in 1958 T-Bird represented luxury until the brand was ruined with the compact imposters, many of these, "luxury land yachts" were ordered without A/C's and while that may have been fine up in the cooler climes of the north, down south it's a travesty of justice.
That thing is beautiful. I'm a ford guy.
I LOVE this gen T-bird. I have a '66. Hopefully I can make it into something even half this clean one day.
Outa luck 66 doesn't look as good as a 65 the hood sucks
Awesome Thunderbird, I had a 65, great car!
My favorite years of T Birds , 64 65 66 hardtop + deluxe landau package. 390 / 428 hipo.... someday I will get mine
61 62 63 t birds 390 /427 tri power

Thank you for the music ;)
Clean!

Such a great old bird...except for the wheels obviously.....
awesome 😎
I just noticed they took a lot of the Thunderbird emblems off.Does not hurt the look of the car.Anyone that know T birds will know this

It was murdered
Does it have disc brakes and A/C? If not a real minus for a car that is being presented as a high end older restoration.
All 65’ had front disc brakes. This one doesn’t have air conditioning. A shame!
Nice Video, I thank You tube for the mute button
Hahaha what's the matter you don't like groovy music Man you're not in your bag LOL
What is the rim and tire size? I have a 65 and I would like to put bigger rims on it but don't want to take off the skirts
18x9 front 19x9 rear
Oh, you need to do a narrowed rear and suspension mods.
I just found that out on Thursday when I took it in for the rims

Rear disc?
all that work and still has single master cylinder

MungoidHen Need more in info on that first Bird???
clean car= straight no dents rust free
JOHNNIE: LORD OF THE MungoidHen PEOPLE - In Americanese, "clean" also means "slick", "streamlined" or "minimalist".
Oh righty Ho. Thanks people. I get it now = )

Where do you find all the cars
Found that one on the side of the road. Then I joined the Legion of Doom and took it apart.
What is the name of the tune?
HOW MUCH MONEY TO BUY!!!!!
Like they say if you have to ask how much it is ,you obviously can't afford it
I am doing up my 66 with 428 .When I get done with cost probably would of been better buying this gem around 25k
Cost 100k. I did most of the work. You aren't even in the hunt
Why put that god awful steering wheel in it?
That kind of car looks ridiculous with alloy wheels . Hub Caps actually fit it better .
You are an idiot
The stock hubcaps on the 65 definitely look way better
I have a 1964 Ive been rebuilding on my channel. Check it out if your have a sec bud 😎👍

You can add aftermarket AC... Most owners did just that because of how unreliable stock AC was in the 60s....
No Air Cond is a shame! Aftermarket Air Cond is Mickey Moused. Still it’s a beautiful cR
nice tbird, but not a fan of the wheels - to me the turbine hub wheels fit this car best
Ya, well build your own like I did starts at 5k
That car has been molested hit steering wheels the ugliest fucking thing I ever seen in my life on an old car
