Not a bad battle for the last few laps either 🍻
I gave up on the Porsche after a couple of days, other people were making it work but I was just too slow in the dry 😔 Great fun when it rained though!

@@GOTMAXPOWER you reckon? Maybe on the more simulator style physics when they were extremely demanding but honestly I think we we're very similar for both pad players. You def always used to put your power down earlier in that twisty section with the 2 right kinks 1:20 before the loooong back straight before Bus Stop. I shouldn't have stopped playing gt7. I tried it a month ago and absolutely hate the game now. Find the physics have reverted to gt5. So maybe this is the issue for you too. The physics are easy mode. They've closed the skill gap artificially making it easier for slower players to drive as fast we used to on the limit of the old. Dunno lol but your race craft, dancing around cars is still as good as ever! Beautiful to watch.
@@nineteen90zThe physics were all over the place for the first few months after launch, eventually they patched it to remove all lift-off oversteer which made the cars which were fun to drive dull, I think when everything understeers it hurts the controllers and plays into the hands of the wheels, especially after a few laps when the tyres are worn out. Rain races are the most fun now because it's the only time you can get the car sliding about. Then there is the input smoothing 😬, on pad it dulls everything you do to make it user friendly at the expense of fun.
@@GOTMAXPOWER Nice technical breakdown on the specifics mate. Exactly how it feels to play. I reckon before it was truly using the power of today's gen consoles to have such dynamism in the physics. PD had never explored before due to previous gen limitations. You're right about that understeer bias, the dullness... as if there's some underlying invisible grip rail they've toggled on. Passively preventing wild tankslappers from steering aggressively or if we are to slam the power to 100%. Only appears off in wet conditions. It's a horrible feeling... though it looks truly this gen now, noticed very subtle shadow & texture improvements lol. That 120hz mode too, all these bells and whistles could be the reason, to free up cpu resources from the raw physics side.
@@nineteen90z I don't think the physics are anything to do with the power of the console, with crossplay PS4/5 have to be the same so one doesn't have a big advantage when they're in the same races, they feel less dynamic than they did on the old game so I'm sure the changes were made just to make it more user-friendly. Slamming the power to 100% is not possible on controller, this sounds really stupid and I wish I was joking but you have to pause the game for a second at (rolling) race starts and get autodrive to do the initial acceleration otherwise the input smoothing starts you off slow enough that those on wheels can get the jump on you by turn 1 🙃
I´ve seen many Gran Turismo races from Super GT, Basic Ollie, Tidgney, Rory, kie25 :( and others. If you would combine skills like "car control, respect for other drivers, pace, aggressiveness" into one rating - you quite clearly beat them all. An absolutly joy to watch. Thank you for sharing.
