when i was 20 years old, i got hit by a car while riding my bicycle. i had a concussion and amnesia - man that was weird! my brain was scrambled! i took
a few days off from work, but the headache continued, so i went back to work. that helped me reorganize my gray matter. i am glad you survived, but being
older means longer recovery. just take it a day at a time.
Damn Dave , I had no clue your wipeout was that bad! Take care of yourself man. You're my favorite guitar fixer teacher. Don't piss off any Sasquatch or Aliens , they don't have a great sense of humor most of the time. Take it easy and thank you for being you!

From mountain biking i have dealt with concussions and i know the road to recovery takes time. It took me a few months to be back to semi normal
My last serious one I bailed on my bike going full tilt. I remember flying through the air thinking " this is going to hurt". Don't remember the impact when i hit the ground.
The helmet did its job and i donated to tue local bike shop for their "wall of fame" above their helmet display. One of the guys at the shop liked grabbing my helmet to show the carnage (shell was cracked at the impact point, jaw guard on the right side was broken, indent from my skill in the foam) and telling people that he rides with guy that wore this helmet and survived with only a few scrapes and a concussion.

4001, 4003, 4003S different models and specifications. I thought the no lacquer was fairly recent. The original warning way back in the day was no Rotosound roundwound which was what folks wanted for Chris Squire. The voids warranty was for 4001.MI sales urban legend?

I had the same thing happen to me pole vaulting. Total Memory loss... some of came back over time they told me I threw a temper tantrum puked and passed out just a typical Saturday night! Report to wardrobe before shooting another video!

I had short term memory issues when the doctor put me on Prozac. It was a nightmare in work - in the end I had to write down things on post-its. Get well soon and much love from good old Blighty!

Glad you're up and at 'em, Dave! Thanks for being you. I'm thinking the neck on that guy was toast and the fretboard got replaced and maybe the truss rods as well? I've had three RICs. "Had" being the key word here.
A Rick 4001? That means it has the dreaded "hairpin" truss rods. Which could mean that someone tried to adjust them like normal truss rods - which is NOT how they are adjusted. And if that person was lucky, they just popped the fretboard off the neck. If they were UN-lucky? They broke the fretboard, and had to have it replaced.

Binding and dots on a Rick bass usually means fretless, so maybe someone fretted it. Who knows? Get well!

Good to see ya back -- I think those dot inlay ones are a copy of the 60's rose morris uk import models ? As you know the bridge p/u has a cap in series which limits bass output -- bypass it for a much fuller sound.

The Pots 137 manufacture number, next two numbers would be the year, next two number if it could be seen would be the week of that year. Example 1377801 would be 1978 first week in Jan. Your 137 57? The 5 is in question.
