      Lambie never settled at 10 and wasn't the best 15 (guys like Fans Steyn and later Willie Let Roux were better at 15 ) ...so I'm not sure why people repeat this myth.
      Morne Steyn kept the scoreboard kicking and was a better fit at 10 , and later a young Pollard was better than Lambie at 10 .
      So what era did Lambie offer this value ?

    The beauty of having a home broadcaster who can pull up a replay from minutes before to show an opponent transgressing. It became quite a feature of tests in South Africa. It's fine if they were done from a neutral perspective and both sides got an equal treatment but unfortunately they always favoured the Springboks. I hope World Rugby have sorted that out.
    Having said that all credit to Pat Lambie for clinically nailing the final kick. The day he kicked the goal to beat the All Blacks on Ellis Park is something he will always be remembered for and a memory he can always treasure.

    • @brettfleiner4906
      @brettfleiner4906 Před 2 lety +1

      Please man, you need to wake up! NZ is the team most famous for getting away with murder! Whether is NH fans, Arg, USA or wherever they all say NZ get away with more than any other team. So maybe the broadcasters helped SA here but the refs have been helping NZ for YEARS.

    • @MrAhuapai
      @MrAhuapai Před 2 lety

      @@brettfleiner4906 That's a subjective point of view and Referees internationally would dispute that bias claim. Why NZ would get special treatment is also nonsensical. There is a WRU system that reviews Refs performances and if they are found in error ( and there are many examples over the years) there are consequences, Refs get dropped and can find it difficult to get the big games again. The broadcasters on the other hand have no body that oversees them or their business so you cant compare. Its noticeable that SA fans are the most vocal about perceived bias in Referees. When one sees how poorly SA does in international measurements of corruption its understandable that South Africans have a jaundiced perception about systems and those who regulate them.

    • @brettfleiner4906
      @brettfleiner4906 Před 2 lety +2

      @@MrAhuapai So based on your response, you imply that all South African's have skewed perceptions due to corruption. Then it would be fair to imply that all New Zealanders having skewed perceptions due to feelings of superiority. Noticeable in their failure to acknowledge clear bias favoring the All Blacks in refereeing. Two penalties in the last few minutes of this weekend's game that were clearly NOT penalties. A 50-22 kick that went unnoticed by the touch judges and when called out by SA staff, the staff member was threatened by the ref? Covering up mistakes by punishing coaches and teams who call out blatant bias (or incompetence) is not accountability.

    • @MrAhuapai
      @MrAhuapai Před 2 lety

      @@brettfleiner4906 My point is that Refs aren't cheating or biased. They get it wrong . Roman Poite didn't award the penalty that would of allowed the ABs to beat the Lions in 2017 . He apologized later everyone knew it was a mistake but it wasn't because he was biased to the Lions. He got it wrong. Wayne Barnes got it wrong in 2007 with an obvious forward pass. everyone gutted but he wasn't biased to France.
      If Saturdays Ref was biased against the Boks why would he penalize the ABs twice within 2 minutes at the end of the game allowing the Boks to get a victory at the death. Given the millions bet on these games the only reason a Ref would willingly make wrong decisions is for financial reasons. No one would be stupid to risk their career and potential criminal charges( like the cricketers) unless they are on the take. So if you have proof or evidence....
