Scandinavian with a touch of German in origin I think. Most people from North Dakota down to Iowa used to talk like that 100 years ago.

I love the underground comix creators like crumb, Shelton, and Spain but yeah they definitely did not have the ability to do what Schulz did.
Schulz was wholesome. He wanted his characters to make a positive impact with his characters.
