Yep we need more/better options for building batteries! Better nickel, strip or grid, I think cell fuzing is mostly a false sense of security, or scared'ity! Because even with it fully fuzed, you can still have quiet the scare, the pack can go to meltdown! The main thing is to have a good BMS, that will stop a cell overcharging, and over tempature pack, heat and cell voltage is the main cause of meltdown,. About the only other cause is cell damage! Nice work! I'm looking for a smaller simple spit welder, I built a larger combersome welder, it works well, it's just difficult! I'm in the process of rebuilding! I have about 2000 cells to put together! Good day!!!
Yes it will be certainly get heated up due to Internal current circulation., Even if there is No external Load. Batteries should Never be connected in Parallel without Diode to stop internal Circulation .
What about vibratrations on the battery? Not using cell dividers could cause the battery wrapping to wear away between the series coneections and cause a short? Tjose little rubber spacers enough?
Thank you for this, I learn a lot from the video, and just asking if it's possible to use plastic case for the lithium batteries instead of paper wrap?
@@MiGujack3 translation: 0.10 nickel doesn’t let a lot of current pass before overheating, shouldn’t not solder fully charged batteries... otherwise great video Something like that lol
so sick about the comments that this thing will overheat and explode.. bruhs, electric kick scooter exists for almost 10yrs... and this is the type of battery they are all using, and they all build like this.. dafuq you are all talking about (O_O)? do you guys live in jupiter or what? you all sound ignorant.. if you dont know what you are talking to, just stop spitting out your nonsense analyzation. keep it up man, very informative channel ^_^

cooling are depend where you use it.. up to 40A it safe without cooling, and bms have thermal cut off. for me lithium ion should be in small package to maximize it power over volume.

He has p.hd in parallel and series joint..
I think so
What about the heat ?
How heat will escape from that thick isolation 😳
Doesn't that heat affect the battery performance?
@@vishalpanchal680 that's what I was wondering. It might explode...
@@vishalpanchal680 maybe not cause those are small cells and will not produce much heat relative to a single large battery of that size

First off.. Why?!!
And secondly..I mean... Hey.. Why not? 😂
Great work
Wow! Another awesome built! Thank you for all the learning you shared with me. The way you put things together is in superb method. Idol!!!

Why is cell fusing false sense of security?
Awesome man. After a long time, I watched a video without skipping.
I think such big arrays of lithium batteries need some thermal control and ventilation
It already has
This is third world engineering, they don't worry about cooling.
Wouldn’t the larger battery be able to provide same amps easier than smaller battery and then would not heat up ?
Enjoyed your video with my Morning cup of tea ! Amazing video brother!
Me same
This man is playing Tetris using batteries
I have a feeling something like this will get a bit warm while using.
Yes it will be certainly get heated up due to Internal current circulation., Even if there is No external Load. Batteries should Never be connected in Parallel without Diode to stop internal Circulation .
That's going to be one hella vape mod
Just be careful measuring the size of cell using a vernier :)
It's a plastic one so no need to worry
Have plastic vernier for measuring *magnets.*
Good to know it can be used for measuring batteries. Up till this,I’d never thought of it - duh!
Thanks for making my vape batts cheaper m8 👍
Real nice!
I love the way he build that Battery pack....he is hi Professional boy.
Owesome, that's really pretty pretty video of battery pack building, Also really cool spot welder FS-SW1!
I really like that spot welder 👍
Then let it stay with you all the time and be your effective helper:)
It is good to learn. Also many accessories names are to our knowledge and understanding.
Great you are brilliant.nice engineering
It's like a exciting and dangerous game of Tetris where if you fail you potentially either burn down your house or worse pack of batteries explode.
Slick loved your build before i saw the BMW routing. Best I've ever seen.
Woww, awesome build! I learned so much, thanks!

No not enough this is a terrible build method for an electric vehicle that will experience vibrations
Magic will start when you will use metal caliper for measurement.
Yes😀 saw that and came into comment section ..
😂
Hi
Great build!
Awesome👍🏿
All the hard work..just because you don't want to pedal your bicycle.
this battery are made for electric kick scooter, you can't pedal on it..
so nice video 😉🖐
If you accidentally drop a nickel strip on the wrong place on that pack you are dead :D
one of the reasons why not everyone can build their own battery pack...
Boy talk about an artist. Really nice work. Where are you getting the BMS is from? website?
Goooooood job

Is that fine, if insulation is been used like this? How does the heat will get dissipate?
i knew playing tangrams would payoff one day lol
Would love to see a size comparison of two batteries of the same voltage and capacity just one built with 18650 and the other with 21700.
21700 is 10 percent bigger than 18650 and 30 percent better than 18650

It's all fun and games until the n'th time you do it and the calipers dead short the 21700

very nice video, but nickle does not rust :-) like cromium. only the cheap nickle coated steel strips. but im not sure

What amps does each cell have before joining them together?
Agreed, more information is needed about the build
It seems to run on some form of electricity.
well youre now wrong about that
Next time u try for a Arc Reactor

I have a really important question. Don't these packs need cooling and how can you go about that in a small form factor?

Where did you buy your batteries? What brand are they? Where do you find heat shrink that big?
You sure those couple of strips are sufficient to pass a current of 33A? Looks dangerous to me
