    In this video I show you how to change the spark plugs in a 2012-2016 Chevy Impala. This is a pretty straightforward change that anyone can do to save you time and money! This process is similar on Chevy Impala cars 2012-2016 with a 3.6L V6.

    What if you would disconnect the metal link that attaches the engine to the radiator bulk head and use a small ratchet strap to pull the engine towards the radiator,that way rear access would be better?

    I've got a p300 random misfire code on my 2015 Impala (new body) V6 that I literally just bought. Got right at 100k miles. Fantastic oil change history on the Carfax but I don't see anything about spark plugs changed. It stumbles occasionally. Think spark plugs could be the issue?

    • @matt-diy
      @matt-diy  Před rokem

      Very possible it can’t hurt to change them!! Seems that code is related to ignition in some way. Plugs should only be used 50-70k miles at the most.

    • @TommyViper
      @TommyViper Před rokem +1

      A little late but in order to get the ones from under the intake manifold, you need to rotate the coils counterclockwise 90 degrees and then you can pull them out. Just did the procedure today so it's fresh on my mind! :)
      The reason you can't just pull them out, it's because the lip of the manifold stops the bulky part of the coil from clearing it, but rotating the coil first reduces the amount of clearance needed to take it out.
