- In this video I'm building the BLV (benlevi) AMS Riser, but this is my remixed version with the following upgrades:
- Made for wider LED strips (8,5 mm instead of 6 mm)
- Potentiometer (+ holder) added to dim LED strip
- LED strip can be operated via printer by removing original LED strip and connecting the cable to the new installed LED strip on the AMS riser.
- Better LED strip angle (20° instead of 10°) (According to Benlevi, more than 10° can cause problems with the Lidar on the X1C)
- Easier acces to SD card
- Up to 500 grams less filament, I hollowed out parts 3 and 4 at the back + edited the tray which allowed me to save filament
- New front dash for xTouch

I just did the V2 of this. I like that you can add more accessories to the new version. Printed mine entirely from ABS.
Awesome!!
This is fantastic but my first attempt was so overloaded with supports that I gave up.
Thank you, I know it uses a lot of filament but you don't need to use all the supports. Some angles are just perfect so yoi don't need supports.
@@Creative_3DPrinting Thank you for replying. I'm fairly new to 3D printing and I'll keep trying until I get it!
@@jeffreys-vu6gd Perfect!
I noticed there are a few holes in this (at least in V2). Are we expected to screw it together?
If it is a loose connection, you're able to insert 1,75mm (normal) filament in those holes
Do you have links for the led strip and the potentiometer?
I forgot to add the links, here they are, (also added in video description):

I am having questions about the orientation of the main assembly, did you use supports?
Yes I did but just not enough, at makerworld is a 3mf file with all the right supports for a nice Result.
Sry, what is the purpose of this? I couldn't understand
First of all, it's a storage system for tools of your printer which stands on the printer with the AMS on top. The glass plate gets a bit higher which is better for the PTFE tube, there are LEDs for better video/timelapses. you can store extra plates under the trays. The glass plate can be removed for doing long prints with for example PLA.
@@Creative_3DPrinting ahhh okay, now I understand 😄
Okay it makes sense now! Nice design!
No problem, thank you :)
